Once the next international break ends, and club football begins, the pressure is definitely going to be on: Southampton (h) Marseille (h)- mid week European game Cardiff (a) Hull (h)- mid week Everton (h) Napoli (a)- mid week European game City (a) Chelsea (h) That's some tough fixtures, and we will be playing 2 games a week, until we get a week's rest after the City game, only to be followed by playing Chelsea before boxing day fixtures come in! We will definitely need our squad during this period, people say Arsenal have too many midfielders, with all these games coming, people will now be saying it's a good thing we have so many! The positive is we will have players coming back, like Walcott, Podolski, and OXO, all will be able to give us width, something we have been lacking of late. Ideally, it would be great to pick up maximum points against Southampton, Cardiff, Hull, and Everton, before the big 2 of City-Chelsea, but I can see us drawing away to Cardiff, and maybe drawing at home to Everton, or maybe Southampton. Another round of tests for us.
Hopefully we will have Walcott back and Mert, Rosicky, etc will have recoeved from their illness today. SO we should be able to mix things up a bit and strengthen the team after the break. After that we are due to get Pod back as well. That will only leave Diaby and Sanogo (looking like Diaby mk 2) unfit if I remember correctly.
Well the way city are playing at home i think that's a write off. We need to end our poor record against Mourinho, can't be losing at home against rivals like we normally do
I think draw VS Cardiff Draw VS Napoli Loss VS City Chelsea, no idea. But think we will beat Southampton, Marseille, Hull, and Everton.
I can't look beyond the Saints game at the moment, because that is shaping up to be a tough game. Need to be at our best going forward.
Walcott is not going to be match fit, after being out for so long, so I can't see him being at his best.
Beat Southampton, and everything will be fine again. And it will be another chance for us to shut the idiots up for beating a side that's in the top 4 at the moment, the upper half of the league table.
Tbh, I fear playing Soton more than all the other games barring Away vs. City (they are just another animal there and we'd need to channel the spirit of Dortmund to beat them there)
Morning all! Have to say we are vplaying some great stuff atm and hopefully it should be a great game. First time in many years I've felt we can come away from your place with a positive result.
