Christ we got a bit lucky, but bgrilliant results.
Sometimes you need to rely on the strength of a player in astonishing form and that's what we did with krul.
It was relieivijng to see Pards not panic and being on colo cos i think it would have disrupted krul, who was doing a great job of marshallimg his defence. Instead he focused on nullifying their midfield, making anita a great sub. Obertan was questionable (less use defensively than HBA but he got away with it.
Top marks to willo who looked as if he has been goving attackers nightmares for years. I do worry what he'll be like when temas just play it towards him on the floor but it matters not. Top result all round, fantastic from the lads

Horror from Larrsson. Not even a yellow? Mental.

Refs make rods for their own backs. Worst thing about Larrsson is he knew exactly what he was doing, miles away from the ball. Clear example of "doing" someone. This is not unusual for Gus's teams though. Opposition of Brighton moaned about it a lot. He is Uruguayan, and Taricco is possibly one of the dirtiest Argentinians to ever grace our game so not really surprising they encourage such play.

Sunderland are gonna be filth under Poyet. How is Bardsley not booked for that on Navas? Just ridiculous.

With us being on such a high, it'll be just like NUFC to shoot themselves in the foot over the coming week.

What odds on Mike Ashley giving the green light to Joe Kinnear to deliver a PR disaster, anger Pardew and boot him out for the Palace job?

The pair certainly can't be happy over recent results. JFK wanted to be in by xmas!

True enough. Desperate measures are required. I bet there were some cans of kestrel super strength flying around the Kinnear household today.

Right I'm now lost. Michael Oliver (who I have played footy against and been referreed by and is a canny lad) has just booked Phil Jones for an honest attempt to win the ball. Yet Dawson sees the same colour card for a challenge with over the top force, and Larrsson isn't booked at all despite trying to break someones leg?? They wonder why they get so much ****.

Such is the nature of the prem this year.... With a little bit of investment in January anything could happen.

Yeah right, I can't imagine he's too keen to take credit for the Remy deal these days!

Dawson's challenge was excessive and he was lucky to put it mildly to stay on the pitch – just a case of the ref not having the balls to make the right decision against the home crowd. Again. Yawn.

Larrsson's lunge was utterly awful though, no excuses and it's a wonder he didn't pick himself up and start walking for the tunnel as it was a nailed on red.

The frustrating thing is that these are key decisions unpunished that could and should effect the course of a game, while you get big calls being made against very iffy incidents.

With ten men I could not see Sunderland holding out for the win and just imagine if Dawson had popped up to nab Spurs a point late on?

It's one game, the season is over the course of 38 games and while Sunderland will do well over the next few weeks they'll go down in the end IMO.
