whats the sp on Loic Remy?,do the geordies have a written deal to have first bid? is he in essence a proper Newcastle player bar signing,or is he coming back?
Understand that he has a court date hanging over him,but we could really do with a top goalscorer of his calibre.
mates a geordie and he seems to think its a done deal for about 8 mill come january..
he keeps scoring so 8 mill seems a pretty low fee in my estimation, personally i'd think Tony should hold out for at least 15 mill..or bring him back.

It's in his contract so that's the fee. I don't think he'll go to Toon, he'll use them as his shop window and find a Champion's League club who'll get a real bargain...

If a club offers £8 million and he wants to go that's that!...

Totally this. He could play for any of the top 6 and be a star.
    Gutted we couldn't keep him.

Let's get promotion first. Then, if he's still around, worry about keeping him then.

What if we get promoted. Does the relegation clause effectively reverse? i.e. A fixed fee cannot be invoked if QPR hold EPL status?

And if convicted, does any contract become effectively illegal given that it cannot be executed?

More questions than answers I guess!

Being a Sunderland fan that has FA to do with this post, I am sure it is a loan deal only for the season with no buy clause. He is one hell of a player but has a court case coming up this month that's not good..<ok>

If we had kept him, irrespective of his wages, would we be top now?

    You are joking right?

Could you name many other top drawer strikers in the Pem you would rather have?..Van Persie and.......?

We'd have a goal diffrence never seen before.

We would have been promoted before Xmas if he had stayed.

Not as gutted as we are that the realisation has struck he won't be at ours past June. Just too good for us, he deserves to be playing CL and I reckon Arsenal will be the beneficiaries. Desperate for strikers. We are gonna lose him and Cabaye. Must admit I wasn't sure what to expect with Remy, his goal record was hardly inspiring despite looking good for you guys. He has been unbelieveably good. Not just his goals but his all round play, work ethic and he has a bit of strength about him too. Bastard, its back to Shola for us <wah>

if me auntie had balls and all that. He's not here with us this season. We have enough good players who are here to win this league. Lets get on and do it and not worry about the Premiership till we are back there, whenever that may be.

I feel gutted week on week hearing about him scoring for Newcastle. It is so sad he is not putting them away for us. I remember his first goal for us against West Ham. Was thrilled to see we had a real striker in the team at last.

    Thanks again Mark Hughes.

He will leave and it will be to a bigger club than Newcastle.

We should get £2m + 8m for him so really we got him for a season for 600k if his wages are 50k a week.

What a great ' I love Loic' post, he scored a great goal against Wigan which made me spit out my chorizo but if he was that good why didn't he keep us up?. He didn't want to play for us as soon as we were relegated so another mercenary in my book. Let him freeze oop north we don't need him, he dumped us remember?.

We payed his wages for 29 weeks (from 13th of Jan to the 5th of August) mate. And if he was at "only" £50k a week that would total to £1.450.000.

Still it is peanuts compared to most of Sparky' business.
