I see a lot of Utd fans on twitter talking up a performance of champions, must have been watching a different game
Defence was good, poor marking on the goal - but apart from that Utd didn't create much if anything. attack was really bad. Sagna was our only good player going forward. Ozil was especially poor - i wonder how bad the bug was as many looked well of colour. Credit to UTD as well they got there goal and played efficiently and certainly with more heart than we did.
Now we got this annoying international break before it all kicks off again, and we got a hard game to look forward to. Southampton at home is going to be tough with the way they press and defend. Fingers crossed, we get some players back fit and more importantly nobody gets injured in this international break.
A win for The Mancs means the gap between us is reduced to just 2points. So most of us would gladly take that. They are not going to make it top 4 anyways.
Good time for an International Break. Most of our guys' teams have either qualified or are out of contention so they won't be strained that much and that damn bug would be gone. Theo, Pod, BFG, and Rozza would be back.
Thankfully, the Spuds,Chelsea and City all dropped points, when we were expecting them to beat the teams they were playing. Sort of got away with it, but it's United's weekend.
That will be a tough one. We defo need pace and fresh guys. Thankfully Theo will be back and IMO he'll be the key to winning or losing this.
If we're as inept offensively as we were today, then Southampton should beat us, no problems. They have the best defence in the league, we have ****ing Giroud. Why am i not so optimistic?
We took points off them this year mate. If anything I'd be disappointed my team has to resort to diving to steal a point from WBA.
Imagine if we had RvP in this current squad, we would walk this title. Not blaming Giroud, he has exceeded my expectations, but if we had a striking option, chasing the game and call on B52, that will really frighten the opposition. Still don't know why we did not go for Loic Remy on loan...
I think you must be on drugs if you thought your team in any way looked like champions. For me, that was rather like our victory in Dortmund, except we did it away from home against one of the top half-dozen teams in Europe. You did it at home, and are trying to make it into some kind of dominant victory.
They will, and the way they're grinding out results whilst being crap makes me think they can win the league.
You are forgetting our defence, there. A defence that should have Mert back. Also we are at home, and we are clearly not mentally scared of Southampton like we are of United.
