Well i think that game shows more than any other that we have to buy a top striker

 

Bendtner and Giroud should have attacked that ball from Sagna's brilliant cross. That's exactly what we're lacking at the moment, a clinical striker.

and THATS why Giroud is not fit for purpose .

Against any solid defence he is totally inadequate.

Well at least we made them work this time, compared to our last two league meetings against them at OT. As mentioned, we just lack that top forward who can win us points in big and tight games.

8-2 would have been disgraceful .

We made one mistake defensively and we paid for it .

The big problem is SCORING goals .

Giroud needs far too many chances to come before he scores.

We cant afford that going forward.

In the last 20 mins we had enough chances to score .

Not one of them was taken .

Sagna put some great crosses in today and that was when we looked most likely to score.

Oh well , onwards and upwards.

Im sure some of the crap teams will take some points off them before May.

 

Nothing in that game, absolutely nothing. Just one set piece, and they had the top forward to take their chance.
