    FT: Spurs 0 - 1 Newcastle. Good stuff. Only Man City can go above us now if they beat Sunderland later, and that will only be on goal difference. I think I could just about take being 4th over the International break.

    Spurs players didn't click with each other today. They looked bad for most of the game, good result for Newcastle.

    May be unrealistic, but 4th is bearable and 5th is merely okay. How times have changed. I'm hoping Arsenal win later (am willing to concede that we may not take the title<laugh>)...I just want a gap between us and United.

    Amen, United beat Arsenal by 2 or 3 and we have the chance to leapfrog them in a couple of weeks on goal diff

    Arsenal are +13, we are +10. If Arsenal lose by one they will be +12, we'll be +10 still. We beat them by only one goal, we'll be +11, they will be +11 too. Be down to goals scored?

    But that is HIGHLY unlikely...Southampton top of the league?!!!

    Well, Sunderland keeping Man City off our tail is a possible consequence that I'm taking slight notice of at present. And Newcastle kept Spurs out earlier. Hardly inconsequential.
