Wouldn't mind that myself, a winger who is not afraid to take a defender on and has pace.

I think he's a lot like Nathan Dyer with a bit more quality in most areas.

Yes, I'd definitely take him. Young and eager to impress. Bags of pace with good ball skills and can score goals. It would also provide a little more competition for places on the wing and there's no harm in that.

    Mad not to.

I do wonder why we are being linked with inexperienced players though, we have a striker we are training up for another team in alvaro, shelvey is still in nappies in a football sense so is sterling and indeed lamaar and ben davies .

Good player but if things don't go well at the start then its possible he could become a dead duck .

This seems another Jenkins/Rodgers deal to me anyway, admirable that perhaps Brenden is throwing us his scraps but if raheem was doing it in the prem he wouldn't be going out on loan .

Good player but how much work will we need to put in I wonder ?

I think he is suffering due to the success of Suarez and Sturridge playing so well. Even Aspas can't get in their team and they paid good money for him

Load of lazy crap paper talk using a tenuous link between us and Brenda.

He has played 8 times for Liverpool so far in a team with minimal games due to no Euro commitments ... not too shabby and a better turn out in games and percentage than two of our own wingers, Pablo and Lamah (and we have
played 19 games so far). So would we really offer him more game time? Nope!

Liverpool possibly have their best chance to break their league duck (cant see it myself but they do have a chance) and theres no way the likes of Sterling will be allowed to go on loan come January when the contenders really step up.

Oh, and any team with Suarez in, is not over confident he will be available every week due to his antics.

If Brenda feels they have a serious chance there is no chance this happens. Silly season is well and truly up and running!

Watch this space for a Joe Allen link next (more likely to be loaned also)

If there is any mileage in this story it could be good for us - with reservations. I'm generally aware of what Sterling can offer but the point has been made about his crossing/creative ability. We need balls in the box for Bony to feed on more than anything right now. If Sterling can't provide that from the get go, we should give it a miss because we've already got reasonably quick wingers with more experience than he's got. It makes more sense to coach them up than do it for a player from a rival team. Out of interest, we've also been tenuously linked with Zaha. If, in a dream world we had a choice, who would you guys go for? Zaha for me.

Interesting point about Joe Allen. He would offer us tempo, rhythm and continuity for sure but would he add to the improvement of our goal scoring chances? I certainly think he could help bring our possession game back on track particularly given his understanding with Leon. It's gone missing in recent games.

So we've been linked with Sterling and Zaha - which one would you prefer?

I think we have plenty of projects without taking on Sterling, who isn't our property, and doing Liverpool a favor. We already have a project from Liverpool in Shelvey and we paid for that.

    Zaha - sure.

Allen - it's been disappointing for him. A year plus back he was ahead of Ramsay and doing better for Wales than Ramsay was. Now he would need injuries to get on the bench up in 'Pool. Allen has upside. I thought he should have given ML a chance to see what he could learn from the Maestro and I think that's still an option for Allen and us. Rogers is not going to develop him; he just wants to use him, since he is now in his "asset years". ML could do both. At his best Allen can play tiki-taka, works his balls off, and is always a very involved player. Question is: how do you value him - more or less than we paid for Shelvey. Clearly, at this point, no where near what 'Pool paid us.

We took Britton back and that worked out well. At the right price I'd take Allen back - he'd have something to prove.

No to Sterling. Don't need another small winger.
