JET..... The bloke is unstoppable at the moment and he has to be the only reason people will buy tickets to watch city. 7 goals in 4 games...... Take a bow son, take a bow
I think he will honour his 2 year contract with us. If we are still in league 1 at the end of it then he'll be off, If we get promoted then can see him signing a new deal.
I had my doubts about him as I said a month or two ago but I'm happy to eat my words. Don't think we are a one man team though as if he was injured we would just set up differently. Hopefully break the 20 goal barrier before Christmas
JET's performance at Crewe Alex. a few weeks back really upset me, he seem disinterested & should have been dropped for the next game IMO, since that terrible performance, he has been unplayable & is a pleasure to watch, for those not going down Ashton Gate, you are missing watching a great footballer...your loss!
Guy is unplayable at present, long may it continue- If the confidence can continue like it is, who knows what this season could still bring-
If the bloody board have any sence the words NOT FOR SALE should be put up around Jet. This guy is irreplacable at present. Why the hell we we need to sell,if they do the board needs to put the club up for sale, To me the ambition would be non exisistent.
At the moment, dead on. Without JET's goals, we might as well be making travel plans for L2 grounds already.
It bothers me that we are SO dependant on him and have been most of the season If he loses interest, gets injured, or banned we will fall to pieces
didn't win either.... At the moment we only win or draw when JET shows up. If we get decent money for JET and we replace him then fair enough but im just worried we will see another Davies and Adomah situationn i.e not being replaced!
Adomah was replaced. That side of the pitch sees less 1 v 2/3's due at a n other not tracking back. Points have been gained despite one individuals poor performance, which isn't a team falling to pieces.. The team has a shape, others sacrifice their natural intentions to allow another to play as he sees fit. Dull at times yes, lacking in bite yes, but a clearly organised starting eleven it is now. Last season a previous XI defensively was as bad as anything I had seen since 1980.
I like having JET here, because he provides a bar that our aspiring players need to aim for. Not only has he got the ability, he is playing the way SOD wants. He's not at his best yet, and I reckon he'll continue to improve. Given the fact that he struggled at Championship level I think it might be worth him staying with us for as long as he can. The club will build around him, so if a return to the Championship is possible for us in the next few years he'll have the best chance of performing upwards and onwards with us.
Up until 2 weeks ago barring a few cup games we also didn't win with him in the side. Yes he is our biggest asset at the moment but if he left the team would just be reshaped with a more traditional 2 up front. I don't want him to leave, but the truth of the matter is he will one day and the club will go on.
