Looks like Colo is ready to start tomorrow and Remy wants to score goals to help his Brazil dream.

As long as AVB is on the losing side; after his comments about it being alright for a player to continue after blacking out he deserves to be on the end of a three nil defeat every game now until the end of the season.

I am hoping for 0-2 tomorrow. Two own goals by a concussed Spurs player will do me.

Am I the only one who wanted Lloris to continue? :emoticon-0111-blush

He clearly believed he had the faculty to continue, so I don't see the problem, it saved Spurs a sub which they could use to change the game. If it was up to medical professionals, there'd be no contact Sports whatsoever, so you'll never find one who thinks doing anything after concussion is sensible, but if the person who has been concussed feels fine and recovered, they know themselves better than a dude with a stethoscope.

If a fight was stopped every-time there was a knockdown, boxing would be pretty dull. Now, I'm not advocating simply going with whatever someone who has been concussed says of their condition, but Lloris looked perfectly fine to me after he'd had a couple of minutes and clearly made that point several times to his team, it was only the medics dragging him off by his neck which made a situation out of it at all.

What annoys me about this more than anything is that Lukaku got knocked out a few weeks ago and no one cared. Since then every pundit has become an expert in concussions and knows how stupid AVB was to leave him on as they fully understand the dangers and blah, blah. Why can't they just admit they didn't bat an eyelid because they didn't realise how serious it could be but since the Lloris' one they've read a load of articles and think that makes them qualified to have an opinion on the matter.

Anyway, what I meant to post here... bring it on you northern bastards <nahnah>

Forgot to log out in my hurry to get to bed last night. Nearly jumped out of my skin when the alarm went off, but just waiting for the taxi now and I'll be on my way to see our fabulous 3-1 win.

Thought it was a risk personally, what if it had affected it's concentration and he had made an error which had cost Tottenham a point or a win if they had scored first.

Oh aye but I meant from a safety point of view. All contact sports have had this for years. I'm not suggesting that the old Bert Trautmann is ok but you can't stop sport for every concussion. As JPF notes you'd kill boxing/MMA straight away. Sometimes modern thinking gets in the way. If he was still stumbling around, doing an Olivier Bernard then fair enough, but he wasn't.

    No Colo and Shola starts.

Anita on the bench. Not sure what he has to do to get a start but feeling less confident after seeing the line-up.
