From the evidence of that clip, Ramires leans into the defender then goes down.
Never a penalty from that angle.

Been dragged around the shops this afternoon by the missus, ( I only let it happen maybe once a year.) This time last year I got home and we had lost 3-0? to Villa. All round **** day that was.

Returning from shopping was much more pleasurable today

Not seen any of it but sounds like everyone played well. Nice we're back to keeping a clean sheet as well, now Coutinho is back hopefully Rodgers will continue with 4 instead of 5 at the back (we only went with 5 when Suarez returned/Coutinho was injured).

Chelsea drawing is a handy result and if arsenal/Spurs can draw tomorrow and Newcastle can get something from Spurs will be a very good weekend. So far this season we've not struggled against teams at the bottom half, it's the top half that we've struggled with (Southampton, Arsenal) so next away game v Everton will be crucial.

A win there would give us 26 from 12, 2 points ahead of our 2 points per game target.

What a great performance by everyone - Henderson, Gerrard and Lucas bossed the midfield in terms of passing, pressing, tackling.

Despite our dominance in the initial period, I was starting to get worried and then we scored two goals from set pieces. Once we got the first, we completely dominated them. I still feel that we are always vulnerable until we score that first goal.

Johnson had one of his better days - I just hope he can keep it up. Henderson covered the pitch but he combined it with technical ability (something that I was worried he doesn't have in his locker).

Just to be hyper-critical - I mentioned that our central midfield was dominant today. I was expecting this - Fulham do not press and gave our CM plenty of time and space. Still concerned going forward because there will be more games when they don't get time and space.

But f**k it - 3 points, Chelsea and Everton dropped points, and we've improved our goal difference. :)

    Will start by saying...

We weren't the worst team in the league after last weeks results.
We're not the best team in the league after todays..
Feet firmly on the ground and lets just take it a game at a time, next one, Everton away will not be easy.
However, should we play like we did today against most teams in the league, well, we'll certainly be on the right side of the result more often than not.

Good to see Ford back, was a bit rusty at times, over hit a few passes, but not bad for this first start in a ages.
Henderson, is still running.. good to see his technical ability improving all the time!
Was happy that Allen got a run out, would liked Alberto to have got a few minutes too.

With regards to Toure, why not in the squad? Injured or just giving the old man a rest, can't complain, kept a clean sheet.

Btw, how was Allen when he came on?

  14. He did alright. Nothing special but nor did he really **** up. He did a powerful on target shot but the defender got the block in.

Wait! You aren't going to criticise Skrtel?! <yikes>

  18. Well, he is a **** but he did alright today, as did Agger. Neither of them was really tested though as Fulham didn't trouble us.
