I'd imagine all the people wanting Hughton out are feeling disappointed we won. But anyway, much better in the second half and out of the bottom 3
Well done! Your boys are playing for Hughton and the badge at last.. Could see the passion and determination in the second half. Brilliant last 45! Just hope our lot can do the same tomorrow V. Stoke. Also I love the fact that you took that silly smirk off fat Sams' face.
I would personally like to thank Big Sam, for having the balls to go for the win after we scored, it opened the game up a treat
I love it! I really do! Jumping around in my living room! Even had a shower to celebrate! It was a poor first half and I thought CH had lost the dressing room for a minute, but I am happy! I never want us to lose but I was fearing the worse watching the first half.
First half we were dreadful, no excuses, and Pilkington going off injured rather compounded that. I could not see a way back for us, and felt sure it'd be Hughton's last game, based purely on the fan reaction at half time. I'm not sure what was said at half-time, but once that penalty gave us a little confidence, we were a side transformed. Snodgrass actually looked dangerous (and what a free kick!!), Fer was winning tackles and passing to yellow shirts, and Howson was really driving forward from midfield towards the end. I was bloody nervous, but once we took the lead, always felt we'd see it out. When West Ham sacrificed a midfielder for a striker, the more equal numbers really helped us, and I think a third was deserved. Doesn't say a lot for West Ham though when they can't control a game in midfield without 6 players there! Where does this leave Hughton? Too early to say I think. If we've got another three points by the end of the Palace game, he's probably got until Christmas, but a couple of heavy defeats and I don't think it'll change things. Good to see that the team rallied round though, and that celebration after the third goal shows there's an awful lot of team spirit still there. Hopefully we'll take some confidence from this, forget the Manchester games, and push forward. For now though, we're out of the relegation zone and I am a very happy canary. OTBC!
Great result, BUT why did we play the way we did in the first half. ? A decent side would have been out of site come the interval! I hope it's the corner turned, but I fear it's in reality a stay of execution .
Bassong. Little disappointed it wasn't Hughton I must admit, but it probably isn't his style. Also kinda pleased Snodgrass' nose shows signs of contact, the camera angle was bad but it really looked like simulation to me, pleased he's above that. How Rat(?) avoided a booking then I've no idea!
I could be misquoting but I think I heard a so-called Norwich fan on Canary Call saying he was upset that we didn't lose because he wanted Hughton out. If that is the case then that is absolutely disgusting, yes we were awful in the first half, but even when we win some fans are still trying to undermine him.
