Haven't seen one yet so I thought I'd bang this up.

Brucey says we're 'unchanged but with a tweak to the formation'. Burnsy reckons that means 3 at the back so if he's right (and he usually is) then that'll mean Rosey at left back and Boyd playing off Sagbo up front.

    Thoughts?

First thought: Figgy at left back and Rosie at right back, surely?

Boyd off Sagbo up front - yes.

But then we are short of a centre back aren't we?

Going to be a tough one this, tougher than Spurs and Everton, IMO. We're capable of snatching a point from this, but I think Southampton on their home soil will take the 3 points. 2-0, possibly 2-1. Would be more than happy with a point from this game - if we keep it tight defensively and frustrate them, we should aim for a 0-0 or a 1-1.

Harper, Rosenior, Davies, McShane, Figueroa, Elmohamady, Meyler, Livermore, Huddlestone, Boyd, Sagbo

Looks like 4 at the back.

I definitely think it's a tougher game to snatch something from. But I think Spurs and Everton are more dangerous than Saints.

That wouldn't be a tweak to the formation though would it? That would be the same formation.

4-3-3. I hope so anyway. Rosey is utter ****e on the left (going forwards) which would leave us quite... What's the word... Castrated.

Elmo, Boyd and Sagbo as a front 3?

It'd be like when we played ***an and Garcia up front together. You can line up with them as strikers but their inclination will be to play deeper. I don't like our lack of attacking players in this XI.

Elmo's crosses were a bit off kilter in the past few games.

Three strikers on the bench, makes a refreshing change.

What the ****? No Brady now either?

We need him and Aluko fit, these niggling injuries coming back all the time is going to hurt us eventually. A club of our size needs its best players on the pitch.

He needs to get more venom into his crosses so a glancing header is enough to score.
Last week his lobbed crosses just dropped into the box. If one of ours had got on the end they would have needed the neck muscles of a buffalo to head it home.

Got to question Bruce's credentials when he puts out one of the most impotent teams you could imagine trough choice.
