Why? Whats the difference between BT and Sky? Only a kick in the nuts if you pay for Sky. If you have BT Broadband then it's FREE - so there's an improvement over Sky!

Means more money is going to teams in Europe so will be even more important to make sure we are at least participating in the Europa league not only to keep our co-efficient up but also earn some more money and help give the youngsters experience.

  7. I think BT Sport challenging Sky SPorts is a good thing. Sure, it means us mere peasants have to pay for two channels bu in the long term, it will force the price down too

It won't force the price down Gerrez, it'll make Murdoch more determined to win it back at all costs. This will be levied on Joe Public. Can't see any positive in this deal at all. I don't get BT Sport and won't be subscribing either

So from 2015 onwards there won't be any CL matches shown on standard TV?

  11. More and more people are going to the pub or streaming games (when they can't get to the game), putting the prices up will just encourage this further. It has to stop somewhere.

As I said, I get BT Sport for free as part of my Virgin package <ok>

Its not a good thing at all.

BT are simply building their customer base with their fancy offers of free stuff for a while. The second the feel they have the customer base their prices will shoot up. They will rival Sky's price but offer far less outside of sport.

Of course illegal streaming will boom to levels not yet seen. Any attempts to close down sites will result in 10 more starting up within minutes of closure.
