Only player to be confirmed back is Flamini. Here's something interesting though, Flamini has never played for us in his defensive midfield position when we have played United at Old Trafford. When we faced them back in 2008, when Flamini emerged as an excellent DMF as he is now, he got injured in the previous game and so missed the United game, and then obviously we lost him for good until now. When we did face United with Flamini in the side back in 2008 at the Emirates, the game ended 2-2, so having Flamini in the starting 11 up at Old Trafford as a DMF will be something new for us, and something United have not had to contend with. People talking about the pressure Rooney might put on our midfielders, well United better be ready for the pressure Flamini is going to be putting on their midfielders, :-D.
True, Flamini performs a similar role for us, as Rooney did for them AGAINST us, last season. I'm mostly concerned as to whether our defense will stand up to their attack tbh, if we can then I'm not too worried.
What's with all the fancy tags under peoples usernames? Cym's says "Amnesia" so things like that? Can i have one?
You're not a member of the lodge so you can't have a fancy tag like me.I've already asked the Grand Master and he said to tell you to **** off
Btw, everybody's been going on about Arsenal vs the big teams, well so far this season, United have lost to both Liveprool and City, and drew with Chelsea, yet nobody is going on about their **** record in the recent big games. For United, there's a magical criteria, well who cares if they don't beat the big teams as long as they beat everybody else, but for Arsenal, beating everybody else isn't good enough unless we beat the big teams.
TBF!! They have been **** against the little teams as well so the big teams are a non starter. Historically speaking (recent history that is) though they have, we haven't.
Your joking , no one criticizes manure . 12 place they were and not a fucking word , ill tell you what , they could finish 4 from bottom and the press would shrug and say " oh well , they need time to gel under moyes " the press are arse licking bar stewards . If we had lost and drawn at home to the dross that they have it would have been " Arsenal in crisis " But coz its the scum its ..." ho hum , never mind " But once the afterglow of bacon face wears off ,maybe 2 seasons the knives will be out proper style . Cant wait .
This has to be a joke? there was a full season in front of us at that point with 5 points between us and top!
Yet 1 game into the season Arsenal were in crisis. 1 loss and Chavski were undergoing problems. City were labeled with having too many egos and not a chance. Yet ****ING UNITED just needs their time, just needs to gel. **** that.
Whatever points you were from the top, fact is, against the big teams so far this season, you have been proper ****, losing 2, and having one borefest draw with Chelsea. Everyone since day 1 is going on about Arsenal and big teams, but for some strange, you doing **** against the big teams isn't a big deal? And why is that? Well they will argue it's ok because you will do well against the other teams, ummmm which is what we've been doing up to this point, but for some reason, for Arsenal that alone isn't good enough, although it IS good enough because consistency is all that matters, beating Liverpool or beating you on Sunday doesn't grant us the title.
For once I agree Oxo, Arsenal were in crisis after one loss to Villa, although that was before they signed Ozil??? United hardly got any stick after losing to WBA. And Moyes has NEVER beaten the big four away from home. However United fans are classifying the Charity Shield as a big game to disprove Moyed trophyless, poor big game record Chelsea demand instant success so one loss is more of a crisis than United to be fair.
It's been like that for years. In general, the media tend to be more favourable to United (which has slowly started to change recently especially with Young diving) Man Utd "grind" out a 1-0 victory, whilst Arsenal "struggle" to win 1-0.
err we are talking about the media so yeah we are talking about the headlines. One loss to Villa and we were going to be relegated. You lot lose and draw at home to weak teams again and again and its , " ooh when do you think manure will get back to the top of the table. ? " You get such an easy ride in the press its unreal . Even with the biggest cheating knobber in the EPL in your team , its laughable.
I don't care what the media say. In general they are classless plonkers just after a good headline and a fat bonus in their pocket as their lies generate more sales for their editors/owners. What matters is what is said and done on the pitch and it is a good story at the moment and hopefully come sunday evening.
