So you agree then. The BBC were wrong to say that the Celtic supporters were singing sectarian songs. They aren't sectarian, just offensive. Is the Queen of England offensive for paying homage to the same people the Celtic fans were singing about?
They are bigoted songs and offensive. Her Britannic majesty was partaking in protocol. It must have pissed you right off that the good people of Southern Ireland welcomed her with open arms.
Yes and i see one particular **** has done it. When I say it, it has a grounding in fact. When you say it, you do it out of desperation to drag us down into the mire along with the racist and sectarian singing of Rangers supporters. It doesn't make it true.
I'm not - you are. Not according to the Southerners I met on holiday, they were full of praise for her. The only Irish **** I met was a UK citizen who tried to liken Glasgow to Belfast
I've just given birth to an enormous mud-child. If it doesn't clog the drains within a 3 block radius by the end of the day, I'll be sorely disappointed.
OK, OK. Rangers bad Celtic good. **** sake. 'Fenian' is bad when Rangers fans use it. You use it 'Paddy McCourt's Fenian army' it's acceptable. Also the use of dirty orange bastard in certain songs mentions religion/culture yet this is deemed OK by the celtic support. You tell huns to go home. That's OK. The Famine song tells you to go home - sectarian. How do Celtic fans differentiate between the IRA of 1916 and the terrorists that currently murder policemen according to religion? Hopefully Rangers will move on with their songs but Celtic, like an alcoholic, will never solve the problem until they admit there is a problem in the first place. <ostrichbassas>
What problem is that then? You have it wrong. the "famine" song is racist with sectarian overtones. Yes, hopefully Rangers will stop being racist and sectarian. Hopefully the Celtic support will remain non sectarian and not racist. Your question about the rebels of 1916 and the anti good friday Republicans suggests that you feel that the republican element within the Celtic support would not recognise or know the difference? I would suggest that there is very little support for the anti-good friday Republicans within the Republican element of the Celtic support. An entirely different argument. this argument was about the BBC's abject failure to offer an apology for falsely claiming that the Celtic support were singing sectarian songs at the Scottish cup final.
You still havent provided proof of racism. The famine song is exactly the same as "go home ya huns". Also, it was mainly aimed at plastics such as Aiden McGeady. Again, you want to target our songs then dont run away greeting when your own ones are brought up. The I Ran Away are a banned terrorist organisation, any sign of support of such groups is illegal, so maybe you should have a rethink about your songbook. I dont care if you take proactive action or not, I'm only bothered about my own club and I'm really happy with the direction we're going in Very soon we'll rid ourselves of the sectarian tag, the club is working well with supporters clubs and progress is being made. You keep in denial and you'll be left behind with the ******** groin brigade keeping you in the dark ages.
Black people use the word ****** all the time. Yet a white person cant call a black man a ******. Works the same here i'd say. ONe is using "fenian" jokingly - one is very much not why is your lots defence to your songs always "celtic sing equally as bad or worse ones"? So what if we do? (which we dont) It doesnt make what you lot sing legal Personally i couldnt give a **** if you sang "lets kill all catholics and irish" for 90 minutes. Just stop trying to use Celtic to defend yourselves. YOu've been caught and panned for it - we havent, there is a reason - if you think there isnt then answer me why havent we been?. Its not a conspiracy against rangers.
How have I got it wrong? The famine song has been found to be sectarian and I agree with that. But racist? Is 'Irish' a race? It may be xenophobic. My point was; what difference is there in telling huns to go home and singing the famine song? Are you too blinkered to get this? As for support of the post good friday agreement of the ira - do you remember the pizza box display a couple of years ago? The IRA were a terrorist organisation before the good friday agreement as well. I'm sure the victims and families of victims from all over the UK know that the yahoos really mean the fighters from nearly 100 years ago and not the indiscriminate baby-killing cowards of recent years. After all that was said in the build up before the game with terrible terrorist acts perpetrated on Neil Lennon et al and his call to the Celtic support to stop the nonsense, staurt mccall still got sectarian abuse off of the celtic support. The support sang in praise of a terrorist organisation (anyone see the irony here?). The BBC merely mentioned it and the yahoos went mental. I honestly don't care what celtic sing. What annoys me are those that point the finger at rangers while conveniently ignoring the problem in their own support. The outcry because it got mentioned on the telly was a disgrace. I want Rangers to get their own house in order first and foremost. Maybe celtic will then follow suit.
You're wasting your time with this one Mr. T. Rebel is more blinkered than the entire field in the Grand National.
I always thought go home ya huns was sung primarily when rangers fans were leaving the stadium (for example when their team is getting pumped 3-0 ) and was mocking them for abandoning their team by 'going home' in the same way that I'll 'go home' tonight, not as in going home to another country. The 'famine song' invites irish people (or people of irish heritage) to leave the country. Is there not a difference? Anyway, youse are pure worserer than us. FACT. OTRAS. Yer maw.
