IMHO the coaching staff have been telling Lamela not to panic, and that the PL campaign is not desperate for him to be showing his best Roma form right now. Spurs have been fortunate to have an easyish Europa group as a settling in buffer away from the PL campaign. It may turn out to be the pivotal piece of fortune come May.

Fans gripe about some of AVB's subs, but in both games Moyal was subbed (70 minutes in the first game, 60 minutes in the second) and both times that led to us getting a firm foot in the game. I wouldn't be surprised if a Championship club took a punt on him in January, TBH.
Our Europa group really has seen blessedly poor. It may be a mixed blessing, though. I was thinking our level of play had been getting pulled down by poor opp. before the West Ham game.
