Saw this documentary last week...sure you did too...if not, it's great.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod...nter_2013_Jimi_Hendrix_Hear_My_Train_A_Comin/
Staying with Hendrix... As good as Chuck Berry's version is, I just prefer this one. Or how about this?
Have to admit, I shed a few tears the day he croaked. Same with Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, Eddie Cochran, Sam Cooke, Johnny Kidd, Otis Redding, Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Duane Allman, Graham Bond, Mark Bolan, Keith Moon, John Lennon, George Harrison........Phil Lynott...... I could go on forever.....****...it seems never-ending, and most were tragically cut off in their ascendency. Maudlin bastard that I am....
Not that I was an expert, naturally, but I think you'd find that there is an amazing correlation between "incredible" imagination and artificial stimulants throughout history in the creative arts. Even a prerequisite I postulate...that or insanity, or close to it anyway ?
A touch of reality....you're ahead of our time. Nice to see Martin Chivers applauding too when he stuffed that penalty away.
Very kind of you Macca, even though I say it myself........Nurse Ratched, where are you ???? It was quote I remember someone saying about Zinedine Zidane, actually. That bitch pisses me off big time every time I watch OFOTCN.
The severity & context of her role in that movie was everything that Kesey intended, yet he hated the interpretation the directors conveyed in the production . When I first heard the following, it reminded me of the book.....the futility of categorization...
Any team at all in the PL would take Defoe. Why would he want to leave though? He's actually playing regularly, he's getting European playing time, he's playing in cups, he's always got a chance of being a sub, and is getting paid handsomely for it. Any talk of loaning him is frankly mental.
What appears to be fuelling the "Defoe to leave in Jan" is the fact that Spurs wont talk to him about a new contract and he is fed up of being sat on the bench. He may well though choose to see out this season and decide in the summer. Twt as always.
