http://sport.uk.msn.com/football/aaron-ramsey-tops-squawkas-premier-league-player-rankings-400335 I was kinda hoping he would have a bad season and we could get him on the cheap. But I'm really happy for him. To come back from an injury like that at his age and still show signs of achieving his potential is remarkable. I've always enjoyed watching him play, but this season could be special.
Totally agree. I hope he is warmly welcomed at Arsenal's visit later this month - in the right way. I will always remember his home debut against Burnley when their neanderthal right back thought he would show the promising youngster a thing or two. Ball to Ramsey wide on half way line in front of the Bob Bank . Full back charges in, Ramsey dummies one way, goes the other and said full back ends up in loving embrace with the perimeter wall. I thought then "This lad could be good". What an understatement. I know we only got £5m for him but he had only made 16 first team appearances up to then plus another 6 for us when he returned on loan. I would like to think he would come back to us at some stage in his career but the more he shines at Arsenal the less likely this will be.
Bizarre fact. He will always be worth one third of Joe Allen (unless he moves) Aint this game crazy! I remember a stat last year 17.5 x Michu = 1 Carroll. At the time, it was good business for you and Arsenal have to take major credit for developing and continuing with their faith in him. Many would have jettisoned the guy before this year ...as I said, crazy football. Who knows which underperforming player can be next years Ramsey?
I think his physical development is a big difference this year. He looks so much stronger than ever before. His talent was never in doubt. It'll be interesting to see if this goal scoring form continues, he's never been prolific. Is he have a Papa Cisse moment where everything he hits flies in for 4 months or is he about to transcend his previous level and become a world superstar like Bale. I hope its the latter because right now he's as good as anyone on the planet. Chris 'discussing a new ****ing contract' Coleman is going to start running out of excuses if he's got 2 of the best players in the world on his side on a regular basis.
