This squad is going to get stuffed by Germany. No flair and no excitement, how Henderson, Cleverley and Miner are in there is a joke. Awful awful players.

Cleverley yet again? **** off Roy.

Same for all those United players bar Rooney.

At least Lallana finally got another call up. Though how Smalling and Jones are there ahead of any other English defender, never mind Davies, is beyond me.

Best possible English line up IMO:

    Hart
    Walker Chester Davies Baines
    Huddlestone Gerrard
    Wilshere Rooney Welbeck
    Sturridge

    Or

    Same back 5

    Wilshere Gerrard
    Walcott/Ox Rooney Townsend
    Lambert

Depending how we want to play.

Not sure about Chester yet, but his time will come. England do need a player like Huddlestone though, we're desperately lacking someone who can dictate tempo apart from Michael Carrick.

Sonny Bradley will be disgusted that Smalling got a call up, I don't know what more the young lad can do to get a look in.

Not playing for a truly awful team would be a start.

How he is not in the squad ahead of Smalling and Jones is unbelievable.

may have to do with them being able to play a number of positions. I doubt either of them will start (at CB) and they may be more helpful on the bench

Also, why has he called up three left backs?

What a waste of a call up one of those is.

Lallana yes along with Lambert. But Rodriquez ? FFS. What is Roy doing and why is Tom Cleverley still being picked. ? Thank god Chile and Germany are only friendlies.

Our players are best out of it anyway. Rest more important.

I'm sick of all these internationals disrupting the proper football anyway.

The number of city games I can get to are already limited due to work. Then it seems half the saturdays I'm not actually working, there's a bloody international break!

To be fair, if you listen to what Roy says about Rodriguez it does make sense. Rodriguez is one of few players who actually plays as a wide forward, not a winger or a midfielder. The only other player like that in the Premier League is Danny Welbeck.

That's only because you explained the differences first. Lewis number 2 is equally valued. No pulling rank.

You need an avatar to help distinguish the two of you

Agreed. At least it offers our stretched squad some respite though.

Never heard you complaining when I do you a deal on the marigolds and klinex. Always after I've seen you walking out of simply pleasure...
