A great result last night, but I was fascinated to hear about Hazard's omissision from the team! He failed to turn up for the last training session without explanation, and was told as a result he would take no part! Jose said he had to take to parental discipline to point him in the right direction! What a man!

Another solid professional display, that Basel defeat looks a distant memory now. Should top the group, think we only need to win one of the remaining games to guarantee it.

No match thread though for a C.L night?!?!

Hazard was too busy at the Lille/Monaco game he missed his train back to London. Rightly disciplined and problem is Willian was excellent, deserves his chance against West Brom

Jose gave the perfect explanation. he's a kid, kids do dumb things, he was dropped, he's available weekend, end of. If he's a smart kid he won't do that again. Actually , he might have been dropped anyway , he's not exactly setting the world alight this year.

Lost his passport in France and missed the Eurostar home.

No need to dramatise or overanalyse, just seems an honest mistake hyped up by media.

He's wearing the shirt on Saturday so all is now right! However in my opinion it was right that Jose should have disciplined him over the matter as his first priority and obligation is CFC!

For me, Hazard has been a massive let down this season so far. I really expected him to kick on after a good first season. The frustrating thing is that he definitely has the potential to be a world class player. Hopefully Jose can drag it out of him. Like the old school report would say........ could do better !

I agree thought Hazard would be one of the stand out performers this season

I love the way Jose has them all under control, no matter who they are, or how big a star they are. AND how do you lose your passport when you travel as many times as he does !!

Yanks out! Why are we viewed as junior franchise compared to Red Sox?
