Just watched this vid about Rambo's comeback from injury and his phoenix like rise from the ashes (okay, that was too much). Anyway, a lot of the highlights that emphasize his physicality which is an aspect of his game that's been overlooked in light of his goal scoring. Check 2:45 for him shrugging off Yaya Toure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK1N7pR90W4
Yep, saw that video a couple of days ago. The shoulder to shoulder with Toure is epic, just shows how strong this boy is. Never seen anyone do that to Toure.
I mentioned it in the match thread, but it truly is amazing how powerful he has become. Today players were just bouncing off him.
Bumping the thread. What is everyone's predictions for him this year? Lovely climax to his incredible season with the winning goal in the Cup. I love everything about him, finishing, he's got an engine, tackling, passing, he does everything well. Is 2004/2015 the YEAR OF THE RAM? My prediction, as the ever optimist, Players Player of the Year, Ballon d'Or, UEFA Golden Boot, newly elected Secretary General of the UN, and of course, The Triple Crown.
I think last season was a wake up call for a lot of Gooners not to write off our players too soon. Ramsey completely turned the criticism on it's head and became one of our best players. I'm expecting him to have another big season and along with some quality additions I think there will be a really good confidence flowing through the squad, which tends to bring out the best in others.
He will be one of our key players this coming season. He has shown his true potential and baring injuries, will play a major role in our competitiveness. A player that is seemingly making a comeback is Diaby, if he can stay fit for a decent amount of time then I can see a nice headache for Wenger in the CM positions coming up. I do hope that Wenger strengthens the midfield with a DM type player so that Ramsey is allowed to move with more freedom.
