How smart was it in hindsight to have signed Ramsey to a new contract LAST season, before he entered this rich form making him one of the best midfielders in Europe, if we were to sign Ramsey on a contract now, his wages would be right up there between 90-100k a week, compared to the 60k we signed him on.
No question he'll get a rise anyway, probably at the end of the season. I think AW has pulled a masterstroke with him, I think he was on the floor after failing to capture his pre-injury form then AW says you're a fundemental part of this club, I rate you highly, I believe you'll reach high levels of performance soon and because I believe in you so strongly I'm giving you a new contract. He's taken that as a massive confidence boost and is now performing at a world class level. AW genius for me....
