Pretty much the same for me. There's still some romance in the FA cup for me, and Poch made his intentions (or lack of) clear with tonights side. Still looking forward to a cracking season.

I thought Yoshida played alright, and finally got his goal, even if it wasn't an overhead kick. No stand-out performances really. Says a lot if our reserves only lose 2-1 to what was almost Sunderland's first team.

I think that the FA haven't helped encourage Premiership teams to play stronger teams in the cups because they have scrapped the Reserve league, and only 3 over 21s can play for the U21 side. This means that teams with larger squads have to play weaker teams in the cup in order to give those not in the first 11 a decent run out.

If you'd bothered to read my comments you'll find I have attacked him more than once for being a WUM.

Now, go away, calm down and get over it.

If it's at Fratton Park, the bug will most likely be dysentry.

Also, it's hard to judge players on a game where we have changed the whole team. I think the majority of players that played tonight could step into the first 11 individually and do a decent enough job to fit in with those around them. However, if we make as many changes as we did tonight, the standard is going to fall in each position.

If anyone is questioning fielding a second string, consider the scenario - we play Shaw, he gets injured (as often is the case), and we have Danny F in for the league games against Arsenal and Chelsea......nah, you're alright.

Downthe36 - sadly I have to agree with you about Gaston. Looked slow, caught in possession, poor passes and missed a good opportunity at the end of the first half. Pushing for a first team place? Rather have Reed to be honest.
Again agree with getting rid at Xmas and save some of those huge wages for someone else who can physically and mentally cope.
Sorry Gaston time to go mate!

Tedious competition that should have been put in a sack with some bricks and thrown in the nearest deep river a long time ago.

Saints should start the ball rolling by withdrawing from the competition next season. I bet the majority of Prem clubs would follow suit, as probably would a few championship sides.

I'm not sure if this is true, but what from what I've heard, Dejan Lovren has got "Made in Southampton" tattooed around his left nipple.

No I didn't bother reading them, there was a match on tonight I was trying to concentrate on.

Now that I've been pissed off I think I'll choose when I 'go away, calm down and get over it'.

People who come onto the Sunderland board are always welcomed but pisstakers reap their 'rewards'.

Sorry to be an arsehole but ****ers like him wind me up ........... which was his intention wasn't it?
