Borussia Dortmund vs Arsenal: Match Thread.

We were not awful. Going forward we offered nothing, but that's because Dortmund are a pressing machine. We rode that storm and were clincal when we got our chance. And after that Dortmund did **** all.

 

Rosicky deserves a lot of credit tonight, he was like a terrier in midfield and did a lot of tracking back and tackling

MOTM for me

 

After we scored, we could've gone 2, 3 goals up. Ramsey was unlucky not to get a brace. We didn't start parking the bus until the very end. No one can say we played negatively throughout the whole game.

I'll be honest though, that last minute penalty shout for Dortmund.. we were very lucky. I've seen penalties given for less.

But other than that... this is great. We go to Old Trafford filled with confidence and momentum.

 

We should have also got a pen. So that evens that out.

Lesser teams like Dortmund at their gaff.

 

This sets it up nicely. Dortmund have to beat Napoli. There's no other way about it. If we win against Marseille and Dortmund win... we qualify.

 

I'd rather they both drew and we won tbh.

I must say, no team has looked so set for defeat and somehow manage to win since Chelsea and their Champions league winning campaign. So I applaud your lot, you should progress far.

We have beat both Dortmund and Munich away this year. **** me.

 

So we beat Bayern away as well as Dortmund... will Arsenal and Arsene get the credit he deserves?

 

We're unlucky there hasn't been a draw in the group, we have 9 from 12 which in any other group would virtually guarantee us top place.

I thought that was a proper performance tonight, real old fashioned backs to the wall battling away win, and for that we deserve immense credit.
At times in that final 10 mins I had to remind myself I wasn't watching Adams and Keown and Bould there at the back - I thought BFG was a rock tonight.
Seriously proud after that, and seriously excited....

 

If we win and BvB don't win we qualify.

 

One of the great things about this result is not only that we have beaten one of the very best teams in europe in their own back yard and set ourselves up to qualify for the group, but it means that Utd fans will be ****ting themselves about sunday and Spurs fans will be gutted to see us taking the scalps of the top CL teams whilst they prepare to take on Deputy Dawg in the Europey piss pot
