thats not bad so far. basically 1 signature every 5 mins. also its not had the same publicity as trash had. the link to the petition is not even advertised on the OS although they mention the petition.
Signed too! I honestly think the redevelopment of the Mem will help to regenerate businesses at the top of the Gloucester Road - an area which has been dying on its feet for years. It can also be a green hub for buses and bikes. The Green Party don't actually know their stuff - they've exposed themselves as a bunch of middle class NIMBYs with few green credentials. No wonder no one votes for them. The new stadium will be a great new hub for the local community, create jobs and form the platform for a successful football team for many years to come. I'm not saying anything we don't know already, by the way, but I just had to get this off my chest!
over 3000 in just 6 days which is very good. that number is set to rise as the petition will soon be going to uwe to get all students to sign it as they will benefit from us having the stadium so supporting this petition would help. also the petition is going around the mem this weekend to get supporters to sign. so our number will rise. we would never hit 20000 to 30000 within 6 days as that would be dump to even suggest this
on the radio earlier she had a debate with a director of TRASH and when the presenter asked charlotte who many have signed the petition so far before she could answer, the stupid bitch from TRASH tried to be clever and said 2500 (sounding all smug as she stated more people signed the petition in support of TRASH). charlotte corrected her and said 4/5000 as its not just an online petition. there are several paper petitions going around too. charlotte has someone in her team who will be going around uwe getting students to sign the petition too as it will have an impact on them as having uwe stadium will benefit them. that be a lot more signatures. she said the paper petitions hasnt been added yet so maybe these have now been added or due to the publicity today many more people has jumped on the bandwagon.
The petition has now reached 6,500 to match the signatures of TRASH. And the numbers are still climbing!!
