Dortmund: Weidenfeller, Grosskreutz, Subotic, Papastathopoulos, Schmelzer; Bender, Sahin; Blaszczykowski, Mkhitaryan, Reus; Lewandowski.
It's done on head to head in the games between tied teams. We beat Napoli, Napoli beat dortmund, dortmund beat us. So all square. So down to coefficient I think...?
We need to come out strong but cautious, we don't want to be caught on the break. Posession football and patience might be the key today. Hopefully we can get an early lead to defend as we have subs better suited to closing out a game rather than chasing the game.
Regardless of our result tonight we could do with Napoli slipping up against Marsielle. It'll be interesting to see how the group looks after tonight...
I'd take a draw tonight but think it is a game we could potentially win. It'll depend who takes there chances as i have no doubt both teams will create. Giroud will need his shooting boots on i think. A draw tonight, particularly if Napoli slip up would be a respectable result though.
I'm loving the whole Orchestra vs Heavy Metal thing they have jumped on in the lead up to this game. Sky are good at making games feel more epic and important than they are
If Dortmund play like they did against Stuttgart the other day (6-1 winners), we haven't got a hope. To put it in perspective, Stuttgart didn't even play that badly.
In the game against them previously i thought both teams where fairly evenly matched and it was a shame to lose. If this game is anything like the last one it could go either way. They had a great game against Stuttgart, but i'm more interested in how they where against us.
