She does one after a lamb Sunday dinner. Puts the left over lamb in a blender. Cooks some diced carrot, onion, swede and adds that to the lamb and any left over mint sauce and gravy Topped with mash. Herbs of choice would be thyme and rosemary. Anything goes.
Sweats the heat in a chilli is defo down to the type of chillis you use, chilli powder is crap cayenne is just a bad heat. I would mix them up get hold of Ancho chillis and Chipotle and keep some birds eye handy if you want a bit more kick.
I don't really agree as cayenne pepper does add loads of heat but a good natural heat which does not make you want to cry is definitely better derived from the use of fresh chillies. Dried work as well really. I got this chilli plant from Sainsburys a couple of months back, still going strong with a really good supply of hot red bird eye chillies. It's all I've needed of late.
My lasagne last night was ok. Though I ran out of the correct herbs so seemed a bit bland. I also think the wine I used was a bit off as had been open a while. Can't be arses to do much for tea tonight. Thinking chicken dippers.. Possibly cheesy beans on toast.
indeed. Doing moules frites the weekend. probably friday night, as the mrs is doing a gig saturday. Buying the proper fresh mussels and doing our own sauce. as opposed to buying the vacuum packed ones from tesco.
