    Morning Troops,

Looking at the squad we have now, how does it compare with the setup we have had in the last four years?

Is it stronger, weaker or the same?

If we had the likes of Howson, Snodds and Gradel would we be sitting pretty at the top of the Championship?

One of our very own posters took a tumble yesterday whilst sneaking around on a mossy pathway . It reminded me of a valuation I went on 6 years ago. Owners of the property were frail, and Mr had his legs aplitated and was wheelchair bound. I had just taken the property to the market, and decided I would finish off by taking pics of the garden. I went outside and slipped on the decking. I went one way, and my leg went the other. I snapped my fibula. I had to (literally) drag my leg past the big window of the lounge where the elderly couple were watching TV praying they didn't see me, as it would have looked like I was taking the p... out of them, fortunately, they didn't.

Have you had any funny injuries, we want to hear about them....

    Morning all,

Not sure it's a remotely funny injury but my head feels like it is trapped in a vice this morning. Is anyone else off to charlton this weekend? Hair if the dog and all that! Good to see the dangerous brothers now in charge at Real Potato FC.

Morning Elland. If we still had Howson, Snods and Gradel, we certainly wouldn't be sitting pretty at the top of the Championship, more likely we'd be pushing hard to get up the table in the premiership. That said, we might still have Grayson, or worse still Colin in charge. As such, would Byram, Poleon, or Mowatt now be in the squad?

The only funny bit of my injury years ago was sitting in hospital on Cliffmas Day watching the new reports on Sudan and the famine shouting to people to shut up because I will be going there once my leg heeled up. Double break of both lower bones ended my football career, but it enlivened my first few months in Khartoum.

Didn't think it was quite so funny slipping in the snow earlier this year as I was out running. My knee went one way and my leg went the other. I had to crawl through the snow before I could find some ground solid enough to stand on. I then got a lift back to the start where my fellow runners were in the pub. All I then got was an earful of abuse for failing to complete the trail and relying on someone giving me a lift back to the pub. Heyho, the things we do for fun!!!

ps: Forgot to ad that the one thing that made the double break amusing was the sight of some Manc whining for me to get up and get ready for the corner then throwing up when he saw the state of my leg after it had been broken whilst playing footy

Morning Boggers, let me get this right, when you hurt your knee earlier this year, you were crawling around in the snow, on all fours <laugh> And you were given abuse???

    Morning guys,

I think if we had the team we came up with and we had a Rudi Austin we would almost certainly have finished in the top 6. But it's all if's and but's.
On reflection though, with how we were run I don't think we'd ever have taken that next step.

Elland, interesting story for the morning! Made me laugh, my only injuries to date are a broken finger from a basketball tournament and one of the bones in my hand from being a silly youth!

On another note, does anyone else hate the ITV commentary? It's so bias but I particularly dislike Andy Townsend and even Clive is doing my head in now. Although the latter is usually pretty good with internationals.

Read that 200 extra tickets were made available for Leeds fans this weekend, and they were snapped up in minutes....

Morning guys and I'm trying to keep a happy, smiley face on today.

Our squad isn't as strong as the one we had in L1 with stand out players like Max, Howson, Snods, BJ Becchio and Beckford, Delph and even Killa. Those players have not been replaced and it could be argued that we should have done better under Grayson with the talent he had. We do know that once we started losing those troops we also started sliding further behind in this league. I still say that if Bates had invested in the team in January of the the first year in championship, we would have done back to back promotions with Norwich, as we were top 6 all season until the wheels came off after Xmas and we finished 7th.

I believe that had we got BMD as manager then, we would be in the prem now. I think that the present set of players is now the best we've had sonce L1 days and maybe not individually as good player for player, but as a unit they are becoming effective. Learning to win as BMD says.

As I mentioned the other day, we are the only team in the tp 10 who dont have parachute payments or new owners who have invested in the club (Burnley have had 3-years parachute money) Which just proves how unfair the parachute system is and its this as well as coonts like Bates who are keeping us down here.

Fair points all round as ever Doc. Here's a tought for people, take our current best XI when everyone's fit, take the L1 promotion team, and build one team +5 subs including a goalie. What would your team be and using what formation?

Not quite minutes Elland, as I got one some hours later. Maybe the website threw a fit and stopped working for a while. Either way, we'll have over 3k at Charlton this weekend. The staff at the Antigallican will no doubt be pleased!!!

Had my cock caught painfully in my zip a few times, but it happened to a mate who swears the following happened: "Just finishing doing this milf against a wall behind the club, when my cock got stuck in my zip. I screamed in pain and then saw blood on my jeans and on my hand and it hurt like hell and couldn't get it out. Ended up at A&E and this stunning blonde nurse wrapped her hand around it and I had to beg her to go away and send that ugly nurse over" :emoticon-0103-cool:

I'm also sure that my cock was bigger when we were in L1 :1980_boogie_down:
