There was a dozen readings on Radio Five (I think?) a couple of months back, each lasted fifteen minutes. It is definitely a different style. Also quite annoying that reference to a club is made in full context; ie Liverpool Football Club, Manchester United Football Club, Everton Football Club, etc. and it is repeated quite a bit too. Probably not so annoying when reading but certainly was listening to it
only one i ever read was gerrards. it kind of says it all when that was published yeah? footballers should not go these until they retire and then they should realise they are not the brightest or most interesting people.... just my opinion. they need to be very exceptional to attract me to read their life story. carragher's one i might read or not. i dunno. i would have said it was something to publish now or next year.... now i read some comment son its quality i just might get it. so thanks.
i want to try and finish Fergie's one during the international break, i've got Harry Redknapp's book to read as well.
Bought: Pep- Another way of winning Bellamy- goodfella Benitez- CL dreams Bergkamp- Stillness and Speed.
I'm looking forard to the Bergkamp one as I have heard it is very eccentric and really shows how different a wavelength the dutchman operated out of. So far one chapter in the Pep one and a ton of **** was going on behind the scenes that just strained him. There is also a pic from when he joing in 2008-09 and when he announced his retirement and he literally looks like he aged about 10 years +.
