Even at my age I could still get it up but that picture has just about finished me. I wish I was a Norwich fan for that Delia is one big turn on! She can say "Let's be having yer." anytime to me.
Returning to the OP! I don't like fish anyway, but if I were to apply any dressing to a Skate, I would use a long pair of tongs and probably have a peg on my nose.
Getting back to the OP first catch your Skate. That should be easy as they are usually fat and slow and don't put up much of a contest. Then skin it, better if you do that while it is alive, and then poach in boiling water. Before you do anymore go and shower ten times scrubbing hard all over your body with carbolic soap and a scrubbing brush and then spray yourself with disenfectant. Don't go near anyone until the smell has finally gone. By this time someone else would have tipped your now cold and putrid Skate in the waste bin and it would have been carted off to the incinerator so you wont have to go near it or cleanse yourself so thoroughly again.
Not so sure it is easy catching a skate, as they are bottom feeders are they not. I couldn't be assed to go to the bottom just to get a bit of fish. Nah I'll just go down the fish shop there is usually a lot for sale down there.
