BAE for me ... yes he playing at 1st gear but I loved it that if he needed to up it he did ... His 40 yrds pass late on first time and cm perfect was worth going just to see it.

Phillips getting better but he was by far in the first half our worse player ... But by the end he was going pass players and did a meaty tackle in front of me ... looks good when he gets going

I was in Z6 and it looked a clear foul from there and Yes players stopped it was very bizarre

Philips is a weird one, he looked a great player before he came to us but then turned into SWP. This was the first glimpse of the player we thought we were getting.

He laid on the first and was unlucky not to score himself.

Just watched the youtube MOTM highlights on Twitter. Matty looked good! What was the ref thinking of, letting him go when his shirt was pulled outside the box and then blowing for the free kick after he had been hacked down IN THE BOX. What a plonker, ref!

I'd probably give Phillips my MOTM award. This was a huge improvement on his earlier performances. He's probably fitter now and getting to know his teammates. He looked like he could take them on and beat a man, his dangerous cross made the first goal and he did a shift in defence. How anyone can compare him to SWP is beyond me (apart from the defensive bit). With him and Hoilett on form we could really carve up any opposition. A mouth-watering prospect.

Thank God, Judo's match reports are back, I reckon you've got a bit excited with some of your marks out of 10 though mate.

That said, this was the first exciting game I've seen this season, maybe it was because the opposition were better than those that have come to visit us to date. Great to see us take the game to them rather than wait for them to make a mistake.

Well I thought we were pretty solid as a unit, only broken by a goal when our defence stopped.

Seems most disagree with me about Phillips. I know he is a good player as I have seen him a few times over the years. I know its in there, just need to get it out of him on a regular basis - there were certainly a fair few glimpses of what he can do.

Seemed to be plenty of R's after his autograph so that is an endorsement of sorts.

Thanks for the write up Judo. Having only seen the video clips Nines put on here, I got no idea, except I saw the crosses from Ale and Phillips looked the business. Really hope Ale makes another comeback in the Hoops.
