no not sacked as we would have to pay him just let him run down this season and hope we will be ok, The odds are in our favour as they are...but go he must..
What has he done ivor to improve and take us up another notch, the league cup final was not down to him as we were still playing our own brand of football then, It started to go downhill after the final where he started changing the way we played. He would play players out of position and his timing of subs were all wrong and he kept on trying to prove he was right and we ended the season the second worst team behind qpr for results and form...We are still playing his brand today and where i was the only one who did not like the way he was spoiling a winning formula at the beginning and i never held back i would say so that today many others are coming to term that im right. I cant for the life of me see where by he is the right manager for our club i really cant. And don't start me on his endless excuses in the media as it getting tiresome now and nothing will change while he i here..
A good Manager should be like a tree, that bends and gives in a storm to survive, so lets see first Dai what Laudrup's response is to this poor run of form and lack of instictive edge we have in front of goal, lets see what the next 4 weeks bring, and by Christmas the writing will be on the wall one way or the other!.................... Anyway whatever happens, I have faith In Huw Jenkins and our board, that next season we will be back to our best!......
The reaction of some on here beggars belief, what on earth is everyone panicking about. We're a small club and we are holding our own in the strongest league in the world, people need to look at this in a more objective manner. The facts are we lying mid table with the same number of points as we had last season in spite of the fact that this year we have had tougher fixtures. Then there's the added attraction of europa league football where we currently lead our group table and undefeated too. Some of the players must be feeling a little tiredness due to the extra fixtures created by European football. We have already played at least six more games than most teams already and the season is still in its early stages. There has been a lot of games in a very short time but with the international break fast approaching I can only see us improving in the lead up into Christmas, and if by that time we are out of Europe and in the bottom 4 or5 in the league then will be the time to start worrying. This onslaught on our players and managerial staff is totally unwarranted it's just a knee jerk reaction to yesterday's result.
I think Laudrup may be concentrating on the Europa League to put himself out there for a European job, rather than the prem
Evening lads you are starting to sound like our board but a few weeks behind!! Interesting to think how us and yourselves have done well the last couple of seasons but seem to be going backwards ( well us more than you at the moment). Are you really thinking badly about your manager? Just compare him to ours and think yourself lucky!!
We all like laudrup he is a very nice guy and i dare say his brand of football will suit maybe a european big club somewhere but for a club like ours that for the past 6 years we have seen us play a brand of football that has been very successful and we got use to the way we played the game and we felt special. What we are seeing now bares no relation to who we actually are,We are not a big club and we don't want to play like a big club as its not our style. what we love is taking on big clubs playing our brand of football and either running them close or actually beating them. I dont want to be like everyone else i want to be who we are a smallish club competing as underdogs and getting recognized all around the world as a team that is that little bit different..
I'm not a fan of a Hughton but most want him to work out but it is going rapidly down hill in these parts. Saturday will be awful if we go a goal down against a team that plays no strikers!! Hughton is a nice guy but not sure for a long time he can turn it around in thus results driven league. Don't know about you guys but you spend all your time wanting to get to the Premier league when in the Championship but in thus league the stress of surviving each season is immense.
Glad you enjoyed it ( Cardiff fans didn't seem to think so!) . Hopefully will be a Premier League fixture for a while, fingers crossed
We never actually waited to long in the championship to be honest and i think we could have got here even earlier, but thats another story. Now cardiff did have a long wait and that is because they had a badly run club and should have got here well before us if the truth were known...I want to stay here for a long time yet and as long as we can survive this season then i think huw won't make the same mistake in selecting our next manager..
I think it's not a case of thinking badly of our manager, more of a case of giving us back our Identity on the pitch, Laudrup is too impatient with his attacking philosophy, and it's wrecking our fluid passing and Possession game, and our players are not comfortable with it, it's forcing our game and allowing opposition teams the chance to break our play up, and we lose control of games! Far too many changes and far too many personnel too...........
Whilst I don't think we should be talking of getting rid of our manager, I do agree that we are not playing the same style as we were in previous seasons. When I hear people on tv mentioning our passing style and that we are are everyones 'second' team - it seems alien to me - we are not that team at the moment. I haven't really enjoyed watching us play in a while - maybe the second half against Liverpool this season was the only time we looked like 'ourselves'.
