Ok then mate, it's all the car. You are obviously much more educated than me, so if you'd care to enlighten me on how this opinion of yours was formed then please go ahead as I'd love to know exactly what makes Vettel's car much better than Webber's car. I'm sorry but if it works on one car surely to **** it's gonna be put on the other car to make their job of securing C's Championship a hell of a lot easier? Let me read how exactly the cars are that different besides the stuff that Vettel asks for them to change on his car. Either that or let's just stop talking about it because to be quite honest I don't think either of us care what the other has to say do we?
I think in fairness to Mackems point, RB are designing a car better suited to their lead driver at the expense of Webber getting a fair crack of the whip. They are including characteristics in the car which is more in tune with Vettel's driving style and occasionally giving him the newer parts (although that doesn't seem to have happened this season) Now this means that either Vettel is a better driver because he is able to exploit these characteristics more than his teammate or RB are showing him favouritism because they are giving him a car which (generally) suits him more than Webber. Either way you are probably both right(ish).
But that is a fact, the ****ing thing is faster than the rest on a regular basis. So no erm. Or are you saying all the other teams and drivers are lying when they say it?
Silly old me based my opinion on what the professionals outside of RedBull said. You know the other teams and other drivers. The ex drivers and team managers. The RedBull was the better car. You continue your ****fest over Vettel pal.
Not a fact. Others are faster than the Red Bull in a straight line. I'll agree that Vettel is the favourite, but he's only earned that after delivering the goods for the team regularly. He split the Brawns back in 09 in the Championship and that's probably when they realised they have to give him preferential treatment. He earned it though with his attention to detail, they knew investing in him would yield far greater results than in Webber.
The Vettel + RB car combination is the fastest - the 4 successive WDCs show that. Your argument seems to be that is is only down to the car - if I've read that wrong please correct me. Do you think Pic, Chilton, Bianchi or maybe a more established midfield driver like Maldonado, Sutil or Hulkenburg could have won the WDC this year in the RB car, in the same manner, if they had been given the support/preferential treatment from the team that Vettel had ?
I'm not claiming any old driver would be able to do it. I am claiming Webber would have been able to do it. I'm not denying Vettle is a good driver. I'm claiming the car he is driving is quite clearly on a different level to the rest of the teams. And any of the TOP drivers could have done what he has done supplied with the same tools.
Fair enough. I agree with most of that, but think Vettel has the edge on Webber. I think Red Bull see that (as they have more information on the pros and cons of each driver than we do) and that's why the team is set up around him.
The bbc make it one of the most boring sports in the world they spend god knows how long yapping on and on and on, and why is it not 1 lap ?. Just get to the start of the race next time.
I think a nutter with a grenade launcher would make it more interesting. Right now Vettel + Red Bull = zzzzz!
What a load of tosh. I know its your opinion but its wrong. Vettel is far and away the best driver, stick him in a Mercedes or a Lotus and he would still win the championship. I do agree with this bit though .. "If we want F1 back, the way to do it is remove the computers and leave the decision making up to the drivers like it used to be"
What I'm saying is tosh? Yet you are claiming Vettel would have won the title in a slower car! Bloody hell he is some driver.
