Dragon let's get this right. I thought the over the top slagging off of the team and performance was un called for, saying your ashamed and our players are **** is a an over reaction , I know it's an over reaction because you will all be saying how fooling brilliant they are in a few weeks time ! The posters with the most to say seem to be the ones laughably predicting massive wins for us swans . I said in my first post on here and many other times yesterday, it was 2 ****ty teams yesterday, not once has anybody said we played well and deserved something quite the opposite actually. The worry for me is the massive overreaction ,almost like some posters have never witnessed a derby game in fact. They are always tight games and form and ability often flies out the window. The same players get slatted off and others escape scot free. Leon was also **** yesterday so was michu ..point is they all fell below standard but that's how it goes sometimes. I can be as objective as anyone as you all know, and actually there is a certain irony here because I'm normally getting picked on for being objective ! The derby game is one of those where people need to step back and think before they make comments that are based on humiliation and emotion. This all boils down to some jack posters feeling hurt and losing face with our friends in the eastern block. My personal views on the game and how we played tend to dove tail with yours and ivors but some of the over the top comments from yesterday IMO make for poor taste, especially as the views have only been aired because we lost to Cardiff. If we had the same result against villa away then we wouldn't have the same level of flak. I'm not falling out with anyone on this topic, I respect all your views ,but a derby game is a lottery always has been always will be. Why not the same reaction after the west ham draw though ?
Ivor I agree. Normally it's you and me against everyone else !... I understand the emotional side and of course it hurts but we sometimes have to accept a derby game is the exception rather than the rule and I don't think many jacks have looked at this way
To add to ash Williams words . It is the usually stuff which to be honest is starting to get tiresome. Far too many players talking instead of doing it on the pitch.Rangel is a perfect example,he should be concerned about his own game not what Gary Medellin is worth,a classic own goal from him there. As a former captain myself I find ashs style to be a bit wishy washy, almost like he is up and down with his intensity which tends to rub off on others. It's fine to hear the players say they are sorry but we are hearing the same sound bites time after time now . What I would like to see is less talking and more doing, that goes for all the players not just our captain that perhaps left his best words for the press not his team mates
" perhaps certain posters should write to Ash telling him he lacks class for being honest enough to admit we were a crock of s***e yesterday." Oddly enough though I didn't read him say that he was ashamed of his team... Only people who lack class would say that I guess
Please find where I stated I was ashamed of our players please Norway! And just for the record I repeatedly stated that 'some of our players should hang their heads in shame', which is not the same thing, and if I want to criticise for a crap performance I will do so, just make sure you read my posts correct before trying to lecture me with your PC nonsense. There is no over reaction, we have been playing poor for far too long, and it wasn't a great deal to expect our players to make the effort yesterday which they didn't by a country mile, and as for the predictions, well anyone will tell you that Cardiff are a poor footballing side and that makes our result even more shameful. Of all the Derbies I have watched over the years, that was one of the worst, both Cardiff and Swansea were crap, just that they wanted the win more than us, we should have put at least 3 past that side, but then we cannot find the net for love of money this season, we are crap in front of goal, and something has to give!......................
There is nothing 'PC' about Norway's view, nor mine. Both of us have a history of criticising our team when it's warranted. The point he is making is two-fold: 1: The reaction is too over the top. The title of the "Ashamed!!!!" thread is an example, and 2: It was always bound to be so when you lose in a local derby. It's no good spouting off that others are entitled to an opinion but not allowing us to have ours. We all agree that our performance was lacking yesterday, particularly in the second half, so we are only left arguing about our respective reactions to that and each is entitled to their own views.
See this is your problem! Who the hell is talking to you, I'm talking to my best buddy Norway, so butt out.......................
calm down dear dragon.i was not referencing you or anybody specifically ok so keep your knickers on !! PS Leave my new best mate KJ alone otherwise im telling Dilli and his mates to steal your blue hat when they see you next... I get the whole passion running highthing, its normal but put into context the emotion of the derby ! if it was any other game people would not be so critical. I think both myself KJ and other posters have brought a bit of balance to the proceedings , im not saying the objectiveness is wrong im saying there has been hysteria compared to what normally takes place after a defeat Tart...
A definition of "ashamed" is that the word focuses on the sense of responsibility for an act. It is usually linked with "embarrassed" or "embarrassment" in a thesaurus. If Ash wasn't ashamed of his team's performance after saying what he did then he damned well should have been. Probably trying to be diplomatic.
Dragon....maybe if you tell me what I'm supposed to have said or done that has warranted the constant stream or rudeness and abuse from you we could work this out. Your constant sniping is becoming tiresome to me and I'm sure irritating others. I've tried to be reasonable with you and you have been warned twice today by Valley. Keep it up and I will formally request a ban - something I really don't want to do. Coming on here should be fun even when we disagree, but you are making it very hard work.
I am very calm! Though I do feel the need to shake up this cossy little soi·rée you two are in!.................... please log in to view this image
When I agree with someone I'll say so - even you. Nothing cosy about it so hey, try growing up a tad yes?
Banter just banter, take it on the chin, you've not done anything other than be your normal self, and stop going over the top, though I can see you like banning folk! So much for your protest's on banning with regard to Dai in the past, really couldn't make it up, Chill will you!..............
Gordon Benett, just trawled through the thread to see whats been going on. Right, can we stop it with the name calling and belittlement of each other. Were all hurt by yesterdays loss, and as we know passion and frustration brews over in the end turns into a slanging match as we all have different views on what went wrong etc. When we take a defeat against our bitterest rivals, were all hurting. Bastards in work taped the score to me Swans mug, and to add insult to injury their bloody Portsmouth fans. When a defeat like this happens we need to rally round and support each other not have a go as we are now. So come on you Jack Bastards, and support each other not have a go.
Well I thought I was supporting the pair of, Hmmmmmm, the title evades me.................................... please log in to view this image

I must admit i watched the game and it had tight, nervous and edgy written all over it, when you put 5 in midfield, generally you are not going to create anything and cancel each other out, The Swans had the better of the first half but i don't know what MM said to his team but they did dominate the second half. Ashley Williams was right in his comments you unfortunately were the victims of your own downfall. As a Coventry City fan i have been on the other end of beatings from local rivals and don't get me wrong nothing like the rivalry you 2 teams have but sometimes you have to be the bigger man and accept the defeat with a bit of class and i have no doubt your teams will be safe this year and good luck for the rest of the season.
