Can't see the problem, we played with 9½ for most of the match....

    ......The missing 1½.

Bring back Aaron Hughes, sacrifice a bit of height but gain skill and awareness.
Shuffle Kasami into the middle for going forward.

    Good point Gera.

Me and few others had a few questions:
    1. Why not Hughes? Hughes might be slow himself, but not slower than Senderos.
    2. Why not Kara? There was nobody apart from Parker to pass the ball forward at some points. Kasami had to come back to get the ball.
    3. Why on earth play Ruiz? He played behind Berba, he played in the wing, he played in the middle. There is no space for him.

And finally one word on the captain. Didn't challenge some of the poor decisions once today. Again without a voice...

Not looking forward to the commentary at MOTD...

Unfortunately a predictable score line with our current lack of form. Totally agree regarding Aaron Hughes. Senderos does not read the game any where near as effectively as Hughes. His decision making again was really poor. I would also question stekkers on the first goal as well. He came out to close Rooney down and then just stopped. Commit or stay or your line.

Having only watched MOTD though, I thought there were positives in the second half. Not sure if it was united's substitutions or the fact that Jol must have given them a rollicking at half time but we were creating chances and had our finishing been better we could have got something from that game. Richardson's header should have been on target and berbatov missed a couple of good chances.

It is frustrating seeing these signs but then next game they will probably not be seen.

Why play Berba & Ruiz, its obvious they are Jols men,and he does not want to loose face,
but what is ironic these 2 are makong Jol look more incompetent.
And as for Senderos my comments on him six months ago still hold.

Yep, that's a definite stamp. It is at least out of character for Riether, but he should definitely be punished for it.

A disappointing end to a disappointing game.

A tad generous for some in view GS. The harsh ones I reckon are:

Kasami who deserves better than a 7 for the way he worked his socks off (again!) and for his effectiveness when playing centre mid (late on); and

Senderos. He wasn't very good but to slam him for the goals is totally unjust. What's he supposed to do when he's got absolutely no midfield cover in front of him, nobody chasing back and three United players coming at him. Here are a couple of snapshots to illustrate the point:

The back 4 are to blame... The forwards have been bagging the goals...

Think on the Riether kick, that the Ref gave a free kick to Fulham because the kid on the floor had kicked out at Senderos and caught him on the heel.

As has been shown the United goals all had offside decisions go in their favor, while against WBA we had two goals disallowed for the same being in line with the last player and one disallowed when it was onside by a few feet.

I did say to a mate after that linesmen on the JH stand have had problems with the sun in their eyes this time of year and should swap sides in winter, subs would have to warm up towards the Putney and the enclosure fans could put pressure on the linesman in the JH stand near the tunnel.

It's not been a good time this year being a Fulham fan and it's depressing to read all the negativity.

I was at the game again on Saturday and we made it so easy for Man Utd. 3-0 down after 20 minutes it was game over but we certainly came out a better team in the second half and there did seem to be better shape about the team. The players did seem to be playing for Jol and this is a good sign.

I'm ever the optimist and the so the sooner we can string a few results together the better. There is so much pressure on the players at the Cottage recently from our fans and I think this has been reflected in the results. There was a loud ironic cheer when Ruiz was substituted and this cannot help his confidence. The "you don't know what you're doing" chants nearly backfired when Bent's header nudged the crossbar soon after he came on.

Man Utd were poor second half and although you could argue they possibly could have upped a gear, we threatening their goal many times and with a bit of luck it wasn't inconceivable that we could have got a lot closer to coming back - and if the linesman could see properly some of those Utd goals should have been ruled off side.

It's small margins and sometimes a bit of luck and we haven't had much of that so far.

I'm still behind Jol while he is still there. We do have a decent squad and that was a much better performance than Southampton game.

Did the players play for Jol or just to show that we still know football, just get the manager out?

It was his best move during the game. If his confidence drops so much that he doesn't play for Fulham again I would be happy. I think the chant was more about the timing of the change rather than Bent coming on. Maybe he should have brought him in earlier to push their defense...

Till the next game where the same team will be starting, have a good day all...

I sit in H6 in the Hammersmith end and when Ruiz left the pitch there was a fair amount off booing. I hope he is dropped along with Berbatov but would be amazed if it happened. Like you I’ve lost patience with Ruiz. I hope he sits on the bench until January then goes. He has been such a disappointment.

I didn’t think UTD looked that good but we were so bad. Like a lot of people on here I can see why Senderos is getting a game ahead of Hughes. I though Parker had a good game and was out best player by some stretch. Why Berbatov gets the armband ahead of him confuses me too?

Like you Madness I think the 'jeers' were more aimed at Jol for not subbing Bryan earlier. If you add in the "you don't know what you're doing" chants when he subbed Scotty Parker, I think it's fairly obvious who the frustration was directed at.

The press today is full of articles reporting Jol castigating fans for booing Bryan and I can see why he wants to shield his player. Surely though the Board/Owner are not blind to the reality of the situation.

The sooner we get rid of both of them the better.

20000 people are all idiots and he is the one who thinks that Bryan is the messiah. I exclude the 5000 travelling fans because they like us to play with 10- men and the 700 of Fulham fans who still think he still has it..
