Dai whether it's the manager or players, something has to give! By the way where have you been? Agree with your post by the way!.................
that has about as much chance happening as wales scotland and N.I being forced into team GB you old crackpot!.........
I don't come on here often but it's good to see the number of realistic posts. However, I see no reason for Swansea to panic as a result of a close match. Neither do I think there's any danger of you going down, not with Palace, Sunderland and Norwich doing everything they can to help those around them. However, I do take issue with the assertion that Mike Dean had a poor game. Where on earth is the evidence for this? There is none. He was restrained in not showing Shelvey a yellow card early on in the game and was sensible throughout. I saw no discernible reason for anyone to whinge about him. Really... get a grip.
is that the same recent seasons we finished 9th won the coc cup and topped the table in our euro league group ? oh yeah and up until the last few days we had more points this season than this time last season !!.... get a grip fella we arnt playing good that's for sure but try and keep a sensible head on its embarrassing to read all the jacks going overboard and flapping around like a load of plastic Chelsea fans ,we lost a derby game get over it .
Surely it was inevitable? You guys had a very good year last season and it was always going to be difficult to match or beat it this year. No disrespect intended but you probably over achieved last season if anything. PS...as much as I love the lad, Jonjo won't help the cause. He's simply not good enough for regular first team Premier League football. Given time, he might eventuslly get there though (here comes the Liverpool jibes in retaliation)
As you say NJ last season is in the past, and past results etc won't keep us up. We have been poor this season, even against the sides we should be beating, for me the Sunderland result papered over the cracks, piss poor against West Ham and against the Russian side and pathetic tonight. See a pattern emerging? Laudrup has to sort the mess out quickly. Been slowly getting worse since the COC final.
Laudrup is more concerned with the european games and if he is indicating that to the players then they will follow. Valley is right we have not been as good as past season even though we have better players in the squad, the way we went out in our first game against qpr last season set the standard of how we were going to tackle the season,..I really cant see us doing as good this season with laudrup's theory of the premiership split into 3 leagues and he wants to win the bottom league....the enthusiasm to win at all costs is not there in the squad this season as they are far to complacent and believe the rubbish laudrup is saying to them on how to play the game...I like laudrup but im not a big fan of his management skills and never have, you wont find a better player than him in the history of football but they don't make the best managers im afraid...
You did so well last year, it was almost impossible to replicate that. My argument with Swans that we'd finish above you also contained the argument that you now have to balance European football which is never easy. I would say you are unlikely to get a manager as good as him should he go.
Well I have seen managers come and go for a long time and laudrup is not the worst but he is certainly not the best we have ever had. He inherited a good successful club with us anyway and i was looking forward to getting to the next level with him but for me its just not happening even though we have acquired some very good players. Both martinez and rodgers are better than laudrup in my book because they are use to the british way of life. Laudrup has been everywhere plying his managers skill where i think his philosophy is better suited. In the premiership he is getting out foxed by other managers far to many times if you look at his record since he has been here and that is because he has tweaked a winning formula far to much that we dont even look like the same side as we were. He may be ok at a big club where the players are superstars but for a club like us then we do better with a manager who understands we are not a big club and we are not real madrid or barca who have a 3rd team that we are at the standard of. He is trying his best to make us be like them and it wont work in british football for a club of our size...
I believe that this will be laudrup last season anyway and i don't think huw will be all that bothered tbh. but as yet i could not name a manager to replace him. I may have one that i think i would be happy with and that is Lambert the ex norwich manager. but really im not sure...I hope huw has a few names penciled in his memo book...
It's almost certainly Laudrups last few months here. I can't see him being here another season, no matter what happens. That is why he is looking more towards the European trophy - because we ain't going to win the PL!
why not just sack him now rather than wait for his inevitable departure, or when a decent replacement becomes available... what say you to redknapp?
