I fancy us for a cheeky point here. I'm going 1-1.

Had 2-1 and 3-1 for yesterdays game, I think I'll leave the Spurs game alone unless the bookies down there are offering decent odds when I get there.

for once we go away to London with a slight glimmer of hope that we may be able to get something out of the game.

Last time I picked up from a Spurs game was when Oba scored his cracking 30 yarder.

Only time I've watched us at WHL was back in the mid-eighties and we lost 3-1. How time flies!

Actually we're **** and I think we will lose 4 or 5 nil.
I think Cisse will continue to fire blanks and Debuchy and Sissoko are bang out of form.

When did you book your train ticket?

Was thinking of booking in advance but I'll be going on the supporters coach. The best thing about that is getting dropped off near the ground.

I was there, albeit in with the Spurs fans, so had to be a tad restrained, lol, but it was a stunner of a strike. To be fair most of the Spuds around me sat in stunned silence, then acknowledged it's class.
Wouldn't mind some of the same this time round .... And who knows, we are unpredictable enough for almost anything to happen.

I'm not happy with the Premierships timing of this game at 12 o clock on remembrance day
where most decent people will be still honouring those that have given their all, for us to watch football

I will be attending the service in Newcastle, that morning

At 11am, when all should be silent for two minutes, football fans will be entering the ground
only to suit the Sky broadcast, shocking really

why this could not be put back till 3pm is unbelieveable

I'd like to think the FA would instruct the teams to hold a period of silence before the game starts.

It'll cause a lot of controversy if they don't.

Is there a reason why we quote paddy power odds? they are a truly awful book.

My max bet allowed on Newcastle is £7.06. They really are a bunch of jokers who don't like winners and advertise top prices but allow pennies.

Why not quote from a proper sportsbook like Pinnacle or even a well known betting exchange. They both offer way better odds than good old paddy and a decent bet can be had.

Haha, just proves my point. During the writing of this post they have cut our price from 6/1 to 11/2 :emoticon-0183-swear

They're not noted for being overly generous.

The kiosk in the ground is pretty useless too. I prefer putting a bet on with the local Ladbrokes or Hill's.

Spurs looked pretty toothless vs Everton, I have to say. They're starting to turn Townsend into Bale, as in "give him the ball and keep 'em crossed". It's fcking criminal that they leave Eriksen on the bench, he's one of the best in Europe. That said, hope he's back there next week.

They're a good side, but with an average manager (in my opinion) - he's far too arrogant, as the decision to keep Lloris on proves. He should be ceeding that decision to medical staff, not making the call himself. The Lane is a bit quiet, again more to do with the less-than-cavalier football being served up compared to Redknapp's time there. I don't rate Soldado much at all - could never figure out how some pockets of fans simply smile when £26m is spent on a footballer; I'd have been very worried if we'd parted with that kind of cash for him. They also have too many players who essentially do the same job. Holtby, Eriksen, Lamela, Sigurdsson. All play more or less in one position; as we've seen, they're not playing together and even Lennon's back in the first eleven. With the money spent, it's a bit embarrassing for AVB that Townsend is their best attacking player so far. Their defence has done well, but I think we're fairly potent - we work hard (well, did last time) and if we press like that we might surprise them.

I expect us to go with a more midfield heavy 4-5-1. I'd be amazed to see us going with 2 or 3 up front away from home, and don't think the centre-back pairing will be separated unless Colo is absolutely fit.

    (4-5-1)
Krul - Debuchy, Colo/MYM, Willo, Santon - Sissoko, Anita, Tiote, Cabaye, Gouffran - Remy.
