It looks likely that a certain Roy Keane is being lined up as MON's number 2

Must be his brilliant record with us that made the FAI decide he must be included!

They must have taken leave of their senses, to put it nicely, a marriage surely made in hell. Can remember Roy Keane coming out with 'Poxy friendlies' something which I agree with him on, but I wonder why the change of heart, because the Republic are going to play a lot of non competitive matches

It makes me laugh how everytime he is linked to a job, people big him up saying he'll do well, based on what??? I geuss he'll be the assistant but isn't that more of a coaching role and as far as I'm aware he's never really done alot of that!!

Keane most certainly is a 'number 2'.

Look at it this way Spanish. Our results took a turn when the speculation hotted up,now it's hopefully on the verge of ending and the players the fans and the club know micks staying we can get back to where we were. Which was better than the dross served up last night. I know your not an advocate of MM but he's done a pretty good job in his first year. We have a defence. Which we didn't when he arrived. He just needs to grow some minerals and make us better going forward and learn how to close a game out.

A side effect of Mick not ruling himself out of the Ireland job, press and/or clubs get the impression he's open to leaving Ipswich.
