Hate saying this but we've been pretty pedestrian today. Our passing and our pressing simply hasn't been good enough

 

70 minutes in and i'm struggling to remember a shot at goal

 

Dear oh dear, Studge. No excuse for not getting that on target. And Neville -**** off. Coutinho is the only one attempting to pass balls through Arsenal.

 

What an effort by Suarez, outside of right foot just clipping the post. Very unlucky..

How bad has Gerrard been today?

Has looked slow on the ball, not really finding any decent forward passes.

 

I think this system would have worked well if we had Enrique and Johnson in. But Flanagan and Cissokho are very poor replacements, they offered nothing going forward then left gaps at the back. I love Flanno's determination, but he's nowhere near good enough for our side.

Coutinho should have started, Hendo wingback, Lucas and Gerrard turning up would have been nice too.

 

How much did Lucas pay for his ticket? He's just watching the game from the best spec in the ground.

Sagna get's aggressive in Coutinho's face for no reason... should be a yellow card.

 

Mignolet - 5 (poor distribution, positioning, not a good match for him today)
Flanagan - 5 (not been god awful but gave the ball away many times)
Skrtel - 6 (decent game but still makes some idiotic plays and is poor with link-up play)
Sakho - 6 (not bad, but still could do much better)
Toure - 7 (decent enough game from him, feel bad at the poor play around him. Caught out of position a few times though)
Cissokho - 4 (Poor crossing, caught out of play, tried too hard to be like Enrique)
Lucas - 5 (Gave up halfway through)
Gerrard - 4 (needs to step up. Seriously, string a few passes together for ****s sake.)
Henderson - 5 (stop ball watching and get involved. Decent enough in the first half but nothing in the second)
Sturridge - 6 (tried to link up play in the first, too isolated to do anything though)
Suarez - 7 (has had an okay game, I'm sure he's off in the winter though. Tried too hard and had no one helping him.)

Gibbs wasting time. Knew he was injured but walked back on the pitch to sit down, so the ball had to be played out.

 

Hang on, that ****er got injured off the pitch and walked back on as we were attacking! Isn't that ungentlemanly conduct?

 

no pressing just letting them have the ball, our midfield play has been awful no speed or composure.

 

Coutinho trying too hard. Needs to get back to what he does best which is linking up with the players around him.
