By blaming injuries, when he's called in to chat to DM he will say but we had 5 key players injured(about 5 isn't it) and that will buy him a couple more matches.
has to be down to the manager - try and remember the optimism of August after we had spent serious money for once on some very good players - long time ago now isn't it - relegation with a serious wage bill does not bear thinking about - time to act
I still think Hughton will be given a couple more matches, much to the chagrin of many on here. Even a result and performance as bad as this, when against Citeh away, is not something to judge the season on. Hughton's one saving grace is that, by some miracle, we have not been cut adrift yet. A defeat against West Ham I'd have thought would be his last game, a heavy defeat against Newcastle or if we fail to beat Palace will be the end. Believe it or not, I don't think Huton is a bad manager. I think he's ok and has a decent eye for a player. His record speaks for itself. But here, he never won over a certain section of our quite opinionated fans and has now lost the more moderate lot. It would take a minor miracle to turn it round, doable, but unlikely and so I think he, perhaps unfortunately, has to go.

Chris Hughton can play as Gus Fring from Breaking Bad (If you're familiar with the opus) pantomimes this Xmas if he really wants.
Just arrived home from the game. The worst £25 I have ever spent. Hughton's position is untenable now and it is only a matter of time before he gets the sack, rightly or wrongly. I don't really like calling for managers to get sacked but it's becoming increasingly difficult for me to defend and make excuses for him now. He has tried his best for us, and we have had some wonderful victories under him, but today and Tuesday felt very much like two performances that have come at the end of someone's managerial position. I can't see how it could possibly work out under him from from here. So although it saddens me to say it, I think now is the time for him to be relieved from his duties.

Sticking with him a while longer .Look at the start you have had Fixture wise ! If he goes , I am still certain you will stay up , but hope he is given a few more games .
I don't think I've seen anyone mention Glenn Hoddle yet... how would people feel about him coming in? I guess the fact that he has been out of management for so long might be concerning.
the managers job must come into question after a 7-0 slaughter because its not as if punters had any faith in norwich this season, just look at the games so far this season!....This is not the Norwich we have all become use too the last few seasons and that must come down to the manager and the way he sends the players out to play...A massive improvement is needed if norwich are to avoid relegation and changes need to be made starting with the manager by the look of it...
Supers - "i was speaking to somebody at the club and its quite clear that we took the oppotunity to practice a few set pieces from kick-offs and i could see real progress, anybody who couldn't really don't know a lot about football and we chuckle about this on the training ground" Dave - " x20" In all seriousness today would never had happened under lambert, there would have been at least an ounce of fight.
People have suggested hoddle and on paper he could be w Good appointment. But it's that worry of how long he's been out of the game, could he get a satisfactory coaching team in as anyone he'd likely want will a) have also been out a long time but available b) be unavailable, or c) he has little idea who he would now want and it could take sometime to find people he could gel with. I still like the Mike Phelan idea. Bah!
