A SIMPLE CUT AND PASTE FROM ESPN: WATFORD V LEICESTER Watford boss Gianfranco Zola has the same squad at his disposal for the lunchtime visit of Leicester as the one which came away from Brighton with a point on Monday. Talented midfielder Almen Abdi has proved a big loss for the Hornets this season having not featured since the end of August due to a foot injury. And, having recently returned to training, it was revealed this week that he has suffered a setback in his recovery, with no timeframe currently set on his comeback. Nyron Nosworthy played an hour for the club's Under-21 side on Wednesday but he still needs further match fitness before being ready following a lengthy period on the sidelines with an Achilles injury. Fellow long-term absentee Tommie Hoban (ankle) remains absent. Paul Konchesky is an injury concern for Leicester ahead of the trip. A hamstring injury saw Konchesky come off at half-time during the thrilling 4-3 Capital One Cup victory over Fulham on Tuesday night and the left-back is being monitored. "We will have to wait and see how it settles down but, at the moment, it's a question mark as to whether he'll be available for the weekend," said Foxes boss Nigel Pearson, who will still be without right-back Ritchie De Laet (shin). Pearson will have plenty to think about in terms of team selection on Saturday after he made five changes to his starting line up against Fulham - all of whom performed well and will be hoping to keep their places. COMMENTS WELCOME, ENJOY THE GAME !!
Even Zola admits they will be keen for revenge and Leicester are in form but we generally have a good record against the Foxes. Hopefully Anya is fit and maybe changes up front?
Wasn't aware he was unfit -has been left on the bench for the last two games. Hopefully he will be 'rotated' in for this one - we miss him. Troy looked to be 'out of sorts' still on Monday - or possibly not fully fit - wonder if Acuna will be given a start in his place?
Thanks Mex - I suppose we should expect another change around. Hopefully Anya in and Troy on the bench - he is looking very out of sorts.
Nice thread Mexican Revenge for what? You beat us Never confident in away games, and even less so about this. Can't see us winning to be honest, think you'll run out 2-1 winners. Would definitely take a draw here. What are your thoughts on how your season has gone so far?
For those who weren't there or cant remember. This is what happened.
Harsh days Ah well, turned out to be a bit irrelevant in the end, we're still in the same league and (somehow) we are 7 points better off May only be 4 by 2pm Saturday afternoon though!!
Don't you just love it. The football league keep taking that bit of video down off of YouTube, but it keeps on coming back. Too late FL, give up. Most of us have it on computer. Glad you have doubts Jack, so do I!
Personally, I feel we have done ok so far. There is room for improvement, for sure. However, considering we lost the Play-Off Final and now having a few new faces in, 7th at the moment isn't too shabby. Tough game tomorrow, I'd be very pleased if we win.
Fair point Jack - I guess your fans will let us know what happened at Wembley. All good banter though and helps to create a decent atmosphere hopefully.. I think we just have lacked some pace and defensive wise looked a bit shaky..but then you cannot expect perfect performances each week.
It's going to be banterful ...but we have to concentrate on this match, and try and forget the amazing 12 May! ....it was rather splendiferous though Meanwhile, i do fear for tomorrow, but wouldn't it be great if tomorrow was the match that really kickstarted our season. i hope Anya plays, i hope Deeney doesn't. i hope we win, and i hope it'll be 3-1.
Plenty of people around suggesting that Deeney should not play. Wait and see, but I suspect he will be leading the line.
No, a TV company somewhere in the world needs to show the game before one of the streaming outfits can pass it on. Today it is Sky and I think the stream comes from NZ.
