What do you honestly think of Steve Bruce as a manager ? He's been brilliant for us so far , can you criticise him for anything except his appearance ?
**** me, if that face has won, I'd hate to see the loser. Mind you, your comment would fit most home managers stood in front of that board.
honestly, i like steve bruce, loved him as a player and would struggle not to put him in my life-time prem xl, as a manager he is soft as ****e, lost darren bent coz he was shagging his daughter, then gyan and it was all gone, he speaks with a false accent and has a nose that you couldnt bend wire the shape of. Good bloke who stands up for his cause like fighting off the twokkers and getting beaten up for it. Thing is, which you havnt seen yet is that the man is deluded, he's done a magnificent job in getting you promoted and long may it continue after tomorrow of course, he has aspirations above his station, when he was here he was linked with england and manure (managing manure is his dream) unfortunately he will never be linked again, thats why he's bitter, he turned out to be **** in the end as his tactics and team selections were pants, could not handle top players and cried under pressure which sadly he has still done today. there you go mate and i hear he's been working out please log in to view this image
It says that some clubs' fans use not606 a lot, and many other clubs' fans don't. That doesn't mean those clubs don't have very active forums elsewhere.
And then you hit the jackpot and got Di Canio I won't ask what you think of him As a Hull City fan I don't have any delusions of grandeur , Bruce will either go to another club at some point or get sacked like all other managers , right now he is doing a brilliant job I do get the impression some Sunderland fans think they should be finishing in the top 6
far from it mate, pdc was a lunatic and we are best shot of him, our in the worlds richest men list owner took a gamble, ****ed up and and brought in Gustavo, we'll see is if its another **** up or not, first impressions tell me not. 17th will do me right now, i suggest you lot still settle for the same
I think 17th is what most of us hoped for at the start. As for Moyes (Eh? OK Poyet) , I posted some comments on your board, unfortunately, as they were reasonable and polite, the resident ****wits on there couldn't find anything to squawk at. I saw an interview with Poyet quite some time ago, I think he was on the Sunday show Chris Kamara hosts, and he came over very well in my opinion. He was talking about wanting to get into management, and one bit that has really stuck in my mind was when he said he would only discuss the opportunities for players etc with the chairman, he felt his wages would discuss themselves if he was succesful. He also said he wanted to be in the English game as he loved it and wanted to pay back for the good times it has given him. Words are cheap, especially when you're pushing for your first management post, and time changes perspectives, but I did feel at the time he was being very genuine. It also looked like he was the main driving force behind the partnership with Wise at Leeds.
your spot on there fella, for far too long our players and managers have been allowed to spout **** to the press, all of a sudden its in house and long may it continue. You have got off to and excellent start, you dont need need me to tell you that your not the first newly promoted side to do this............... think tomorrow will be a cracking game tbh please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I used to think that SB was a prat, until I saw his Sunderland team turn us inside out. When he came here I was shocked and then delighted. He is the manager that we need at the KC and tomorrow you will find it hard to find anyone who thinks badly of him.
Brucey so far has been one of the most adaptable managers I've ever seen. He came to us, switched to 3 at the back taking us up straight away. And now playing different formations and still getting good results with brilliant football. From playing total football in some games, to parking the bus against top teams with half our squad injured and still pushing them very hard. I'm sure at some point I will be criticising his decisions but at least for the moment he couldn't be doing any better.
he was an up and coming manager when he came here and failed, simple as that, so far he's doing a sterling job at your place but i'm sorry to say he's cool when the going is good and unless you think your gonna finish above the relegation zone already then :
Is his daughter good looking ? Shagging the managers daughter , chairmans daughter , managers wife etc. Footballers eh
[I know no such place i have lived in East yorkshire all my life.QUOTE=The FRENCH TICKLER;5560391]Dont bother. Your need is far greater than ours. We have fresh fish for s start. No such place anymore. Get with the t Hope so. He and Davies had Soldado and Defoe in there pockets last 2 games So Fletcher and Altidore wont be problem at all. If Aluko is not fit enough to start then based on the last 2 games and bringing fresher legs back into the starting 11 then maybe this :- Harper Rosenior McShane Davies Figueroa Elmohamady Meyler Huddlesstone Livermoore Brady Sagbo Would leave us with a strong bench also. NB. See that Sunderland have allowed Conor Wickham to go out on loan to the Wendies. Fryatt & Wickham eh.
It'll be a close game, but a good game. Our defence has been incredibly solid every game so far, and I can't see them having too much trouble with Fletcher/Borini/Altidore considering they've had Torres, Lukaku, Aguero, Soldado, Defoe etc to contain and kept them quiet. I'll be in the Clarendon pre-game if anyone wants to pop down for a couple of pre-match pints
