I recall reading somewhere that Adebayor is a good friend of Tommy Steele, who can be seen in the background singing 'Half A Sixpence' to Sonia off Eastenders and Clarissa Dickson Wright.
Now I would have liked to have seen this type of loan signing for us. Young guy with something to prove - big strapping forward, hustling the opposition defence, possibly too similiar to Charlie Austin? Also would not exactly gel with Harry's strategy of not playing two forwards together? I believe that we could use that type of Ings + Vokes Burnley pairing, rather than one up front, always trying to just nick a victory every game. Sheffield Wednesday have signed Sunderland striker Connor Wickham on loan until January. please log in to view this image http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24758729
Here's a way to have 2 strikers and not get out-numbered in midfield: ---------------------------Green----------------------- -----------Dunne---------Onyewu--------Hill----------- Simpson------Barton------Krancjar-----Faurlin-------BAE ----------------Austin------------Johnson-------------
Personally I don't think it really matters who we have up front as we are so reluctant to let the ball get that far up field. Jimmy Greaves in his prime would struggle to score for us at the moment.
Teams would figure that out, a long ball to the channel and the forward gets it every time, I think you need quicker defenders to go 3 at the back.
I don't think even the biggest fan no I can say those two have even average pace. It maybe could be done with dunne/hill in the centre with Onuoha and oneywu either side.
I'm with you 100%. Just the type of player to bring in, assess and make a play for (he might be keen to come back down south).
