Hopefully he'll play on the left, against Clyne, and therefore won't be able to do anything. Seriously, I have great confidence in Clyne, he's an outstanding defender. One game particulary springs to mind, against Liverpool last season on St. Mary's. Suarez played on the left and Clyne made him look completely useless.
Considering Stoke's good performance against United, I'm not really surprised that many pundits are backing them.
I think Stoke will be feeling the pressure tomorrow. Just above the drop zone and against a Saints team that wont give them much of the ball. It will be a tough match. A draw would please me
Just seen this on the BBC's preview of Stoke vs Saints: "The Potters have averaged 1.67 points per Premier League match in the month of November - a ratio bettered by only Manchester United and Chelsea" Either Stoke have played several games already today, or this is referring to every November since the inception of The Premier League (or some other arbitrary start point). Either way it's either nonsense or someone clutching at straws in an attempt to increase Stoke's chances of getting something from the match.
I'm at that stage now where I have no ill-feeling towards Lawro's predictions. I actually look forward to them now. We know what's going to come every week, he really is that predictable. Unless we're at home to a newly promoted club, he's not going to predict that we'll win. Moreover, he'll actually generally give us credit in his analysis, before turning it completely on its head, go against what he's been saying, and award the opposition one or three points. Usually for no legitimate reason at all.
Yes, you can stick those sorts of stats in same bin as the 'team x hasn't beaten team y since 1964' stats. Because of course, how both sides shaped up through the 80s really has an impact on 2013...
Marko Arnautovic has not won on any of his 18 league appearances in 2013 - more than any other player in one of the top five European leagues. That includes six matches with Stoke and 12 with Werder Bremen. Now that's one hell of a bad omen!
I remember there used to be a winger for Deportivo called Momo. I guess it doesn't sound so silly on the continent.
Boruc - Arty Clyne - Nana Fonte - Jojo Lovren - Luvvie Shaw - Lulu Morgan - Momo Wanyama - Golfy JWP - Jimi JRod - Jaydee Lallana - Lala Lambert - Riri Osvaldo - Jonni Do Prado - Guly [what else..? ] Cork - Jacky Hooiveld - Hoovi Davis - Kelvi Davis - Stevey Chambers - Cally Lee - Chungy Ramirez - Gaga One runs out of inspiration after about two minutes.
Am I the only one who looked at that Euro list that -DTLW posted #116 and thought, I bet Marco Parolo is a bit of a journey man.
