bit of pressure on you lot here perhaps? another home loss and wenger could be the next for the sack before moyes. I'll go for 3-2 Liverpool Suarez, coutinho and sturridge with the goals, good luck.
Winnable game. Need to play at our best but we can take them. Pool have looked susceptible at times (so have we ) and I think we can exploit that. If only Theo was ready
Last time we played Liverpool.
We do lack pace in attack at the moment, all our AM's are not that quick, and Giroud is pretty slow. Walcott and the OX would have been very handy, but they are not top class players. We should try and go for Di Maria again.
Well he still has that 30mn buyout clause in his contract. If we do well this year than the summer might definitely be a possibility, but still say we take a punt in Jan because of the Clause we have his Germany Teammates here, we can offer more wages, plus the other big teams (Barca, Real, Chelsea, City, Bayern) all just bought an AM/WF so they are full up. The only problem is we are not as good a team as Dortmund - but with Gotze gone and Lewandowski leaving he might be tempted to jump ship and we are on the up finally.
And seeing as I have been obsessively playing the new FM I would love to see the following over the next 2/3 transfer windows ; Reus Lars Bender Papadopoulos
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...man-targets-for-future-Emirates-signings.html According to this article, Reus and Bender are on our radar. In fact, we did make a bid for Lars Bender this summer.
Anyway back to this game, Suarez and Sturridge are the obvious dangers, and after the whole fiasco with Suarez over the summer, he is bound to do something.
Hoping for a super high scoring win for us - Sturridge, Suarez, Giroud, Ramsey and Ozil are all in my FF team. That being said both defences are breachable so its who's attackers are on form. Being at home is also dangerous as Liverpool will play on the counter (something we are susceptible too) and With SS upfront they can do real damage. Getting the first goal will be vital as we will need to draw them out.
Bender just signed a new contract. Anyways, would put in Wilshere over Gnarby, Gnbary does offer width and pace, but doubt he will make an impact in such a big game, he's more handy against the mid-table teams.
Contracts mean nothing these days other than to increase the selling price. If there's a chance of signing Bender and Reus then we should go all out to get them. Also agree that we should try and sign Di Maria in the summer too. If we got those players then we would pretty much be complete.
I think Kos can handle Suarez in this game. He's quick enough and sharp enough. He'll have to stick to him like glue but if there's any match in the PL at CB for Suarez then Kos is that player.
Maybe, but Koscielny's ability to give away penalties along with Suarez ability to win them isn't a great combination
I shall be attending this game of association football at the Emirates Stadium in London N7.On the plus side I shan't have to leave home early as it's an evening kick off,on the down side I wont get home until approx. 1-00-1-30 on Sunday morning
