Been and re-stocked the cellar. Phew!

Le Clerc was manic this morning with the All Saints holiday tomorrow. It is the weekend when people go back to their family home and visit the graves of their ancestors. Chrysanthemums are sold in huge quantities and placed on the tombs creating a very colourful scene until the end of November. We bought our house out here from four brothers and the one (Bernard ) living in our village died several years ago after a good dinner and several glasses of decent enough wine. It was quite a scene with the fire brigade arriving first, they act and are trained in first aid, followed by a doctor from the local hospital. Despite their best efforts he died that evening and is buried next to his mother in the local cemetery. Although he had been married at one point and had two sons, they had lost touch completely, and he told me that he had not heard of them for many years.

I arrived at this house before we moved over and spent a couple of very cold February nights in here with only a camp bed, sleeping bag and a fan heater for warmth. Bernard was very concerned about me surviving as he kept his house at something like 30°C and was offering me heaters and the chance to spend the night in his house. The next morning he was knocking on the door insisting that I joined him for very hot coffee and something to eat. His kindness is not forgotten, so I popped down to the cemetery to see if he had any flowers on his very plain grave. Someone had thought about him and he had a small pot of flowers there. Maybe I should go and get a bigger pot, but then there would be an investigation as to had put them there.

yessssssssss .... the humour of the 'supermod' brb .... I made a 'quip' on the moderators board that Gerrez, a Liverpool mod, whose board name is an amalgamation of Gerrard-Suarez should change it to 'Suaridge' in recognition of the shift in their best player dynamic ... brb asked if I'd like my board title altered similarly and I suggested a combination of Nugent and Morgan ... modestly 'Uge-Organ' ... he obviously 'misread' it <laugh> and I'm now Orangutan instead ... at least until his whimsy dictates otherwise ... there are a lot worse believe me <laugh>

Morning all from a fairly pleasant day in West West London.
Had to come into work today as I have a workshop to run. Looking forward to the game tomorrow, but it will be strange finishing early and I don't know what to do with the rest of the day - if I stay in the pub I am not likely to come out again and will end up in a right old mess!

Thanks in advance for the frothy AK - and Rabbits, Rabbits, Rabbits...

I thought all a snow man needed was a scarf and he is ready. A snow woman on the other hand.....

Don't you just love streaming football.

Thought I would have a look again at my local team Chateauroux. I have no idea where the stream is coming from, but I have commentary in English. ;)

Early night Dave? Expect you will need time to find your Watford shirt and rattle in the morning as it is due to be streamed. ;)
