I don't know what bars are good in Miami, but it'll be on DirecTV Xtra, so you can walk into any sports bar or probably any bar, and just ask them to turn it on. It will be on some channel between 490 and 495.
Honestly I think he deserves to be dropped to the bench purely based on the United game. That day he showed the downside to his game, which I think we all knew he had, which was just total unwillingness to play a team game. It's pretty shocking for one man to play so poorly when everyone else on the team is playing so well. I don't think we did a ratings thread after that game, but if we had I would have given him a 3. A spell on the bench will make him work a lot harder when he gets a chance. There's no doubt about that because he's a hell of a determined player. Fergie tactics needed here. I've actually liked Jay this season as well, bar the awful finishing.
Rodriguez deserves to keep his place; the team just clicked and think that Osvalo and Lambert would get in each other's way. Plus, Jay has done nothing wrong.
Implied percentages from Betfair odds (which have proven themselves over time accurately to reflect the true odds of a particular result - possibly worth a thread of its own one day). 29% - Stoke win 41% - Saints win 30% - Draw The money seems more confident than many of the posters on here! Vin
Thanks! Hopefully I will get to see the game as I missed our last one against Fulham I would go for Jay over Osvaldo, both need shooting practice! But at least Jay works his ass off. Save osvaldo and Davis for the Sunderland game.
Direct tv have exclusive rights in usa and latin america, they show all the 3 pm kickoffs except 1 which espn show to keep them happy, but saints are playing on direct. Around 930 pm they have a programme similar to motd
It's actually NBC that has the rights, and they are offering the games free to the cable/satellite companies that carry NBC. It's just a matter of whether your local cable/satellite provider chooses to carry the extra 5-6 NBC channels as sometimes there isn't enough demand. You may get them, or you may not. For example, I have FIOS and they have decided not to carry the TV channels, but I can access the NBC streaming app via my cable subscription so I can stream it to my PC or iPad (and then hook that up to my TV). Fortunately DirecTV does carry all of the "Sports Live Extra" channels, and it's national so you can get it anywhere and it's always the same channels and just about every bar has it (certainly any sports bar), so that's the easiest way if you're visiting an area. Hopefully you will not have to resort to a Buffalo Wild Wings, but if worst comes to worst, you know they'll have it.
I think osvaldo should be on the bench and come on around 60-65 mins to give him a run out. I wouldn't say he deserves to be dropped but you can't start him and drop rod based on the last game. Sends out the wrong message and think rodders Will cause them all kinds of problems.
So, he's predicted us to lose, on the basis that Stoke were better at Old Trafford than we were, a not entirely unreasonable line of reasoning.
Lawro goes on about our defence being incredibly tight but then predicts us to concede twice to Stoke. Utter moron.
I was really impressed against Fulham how focussed the whole side were - for example, Shaw had one cross early on where the ball clearly came off the defender for a corner. He`s 18 - there were no hysterics, complaining etc a la Berbatov - just getting organised and going again. Same again this week please lads.
Strong test for us again this Saturday and if we're going to try and maintain our lofty perch, one we will need to win. Stoke are a tall and physical side and one of the few teams bigger than us overall(especially in midfield). I think it offers a tough contrast to our style of play as Stoke will look to get the ball forward early and I can't see them getting caught out at the back. We will have to make sure we get that second ball off Peter Crouch and not let Anotonic(excuse spelling) get on the ball as he'll cause problems.
Think we'll take this one 2-0 if we play the same eleven as Fulham. I really hope Pochettino names an unchanged side. Lambert and Rodriguez to score again.
