To be fair, he has done ok when played. Evra is a different league and Buttner is def not Utd standard. At least his dad is happy though. Shaw is obviously much better and once he realises he has the abilty, strength and speed to beat the last man he will be pretty unplayable. Another player to put money infront of ambition.
Buttner may have turned out better playing for us...we will never know. He was a weird purchase for ManU though.
Didn't adapt the last time they visited, when both left here with their tails between their legs and pointless.
Both finished 2nd and 3rd with highly experienced European managers. Generally the same players, if they don't fancy the battle, which they didn't, there is not much any manager can do about it. The only thing I will add though is those same players may have been a tad complacent last season, that will definitely not be the case this season.
The challenge for Chelsea will be the juggling of their squad between the EPL, CL and now the C1C. They will be playing two tough games a week, week in week out. I know they have an impressively large and quality squad but it will put pressure on them...or am I clutching at straws?
Chelsea along with City have the strongest squads and are well equipped to win games on a consistent basis in a long season, if like you say their managers get the juggling correct. And for that reason I can't see anyone outside of these two sides winning the league. Both are top managers still finding their feet and learning about their squads but I expect both teams to improve as the season goes on. You maybe clutching at straws but for our cause hopefully Mourinho does not perfect his juggling until the new year.
I would say Chelsea have the best squad in the league, but not the best 11 players on the pitch at the same time. For me they are abit dodgy through the middle of midfield and defence. Whether we have the quality to take advantage is another question
Wasn't too sure that Mourinho's return would be as effective as Chelsea might have hoped, but changing my mind a bit now. I'm beginning to think that Arsenal are weaker than they look and may be vulnerable...could drop points to us in a few weeks. Chelsea have a strong side, but I still think that they won't beat us 3 out of 3 (should we beat Sunderland).
