http://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/sport/...ation_for_his_incredible_first_year_1_2942132 With a side struggling to get points, and basically no money he gets 69 points. This shows the value of the guy.
At first I misread the last line of your post and thought you said "This shows the value of him being gay"... I must get some new specs!
Was that wishful thinking on your part Warky, after all we all know you are one of MMs biggest admirers.?
It's not an incredible first year, it was an incredible first season. Given that we had so few points when he took over, incredibly if we carry on with the form so far from this season then we'll end up six points shy of last seasons' final tally and on the same points, 54, that Posh ended up with that saw them relegated (although it was an extraordinarily high threshold). Cause for celebration or admiration at this juncture? Not a chance. Let's try getting 69 points in the same season (it certainly won't happen this season) and we'll be just knocking on the door of the play offs.
As the title says first season, nobody said anything about first year...It does not take long for Hampy to have a half empty glass in front if him.!
Actually cleverdick - the Star article is titled first year and it's because it's the anniversary of Mick taking over hence year and not season.
I very much doubt that this will shut the moaners up! http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/23895/milne-still-no-contact-from-fai I will go and fetch you some Razor Blades eh Hampy!
Ireland are not in the World Cup so I believe that means they don't have a competitive game until the next Euro qualifiers. It could well be that they don't appoint anyone permanently until next summer. By now you'd have thought there was time for a definitive yes or no over O'Neill, McCarthy and any other candidates. It may be that the bods at the FAI who will have other interests don't even draw up a shortlist before Christmas so I could see this dragging on an on.
If that is the case why would anyone feel the need to rule themselves out of the running.....three months is a long time in Football ......Chris Hughton who has ruled himself out could well be looking for work by then.
Probably he said that because he doesn't want the added pressure of having the Norwich fans even more on his back and to win a bit of favour, he's in deep enough as it is
