I would say Dean Windass. The man is a hero to every single person from our city. The man is Hull through and through, and was the main piece of the greatest moment in Hull City's history. He is also a fantastic character, but he has had demons in his past, such as alcoholism and depression which resulted in him attempting suicide twice. I know that ending makes him sound like an unusual choice (though it is similar in ways to Gazza), but the way he bounced back from that to defeat his demons is incredible. Others I would consider are either Bergkamp, McShane, Zidane or Pirlo.
